Because vaginal and seminal fluids harbor bacteria. Most especially yeast which grows in warm, wet places, such as the genital areas. By showering (or at very least cleaning those area's extremely well with hot soapy water) you rinse away foreign bacteria.

Because you have body fluids from the person you had sex with on you. Their sweat, saliva, and ***. You're also sweating. After awhile you have an odor, so you should take a shower.

Well i dont know about the shower thing but i know you have to pee after sex. Leaving that yucky stuff in your privates may cause a bladder infection or worse.
