I'm dealing with a lot right now and everyone tells me to calm down all the time because I might hurt the baby. What are the chances (statistically) of losing a baby at 9 weeks? Like percentages preferably.

My husband is in Iraq and the Doc. called and told me I lost our baby. I was a month pregnant. We were trying when he came home on leave. It worked but failed later. I don't know what to do and I can't confide in him while he is away and in a combat zone. Can someone help? What can I do to cope?

I'm a mom who is preparing to move my 9 yr old daughter to FL from OH. This will take place within the next 6 to 8 weeks. I am extremely concerned about her father's reaction to our moving (never married but he has had weekly contact with her). My husband, our 15 month old, the 9 yr old and myself have a happy, healthy life and feel that we can all endure the stress that this will present but I don't know how to tell the 9 yr old's father or the 9 year old herself. Her father- who will remain in Ohio is argumentative and negative about most small issues. He will surely show his feelings to everyone- including the 9 yr old. I have already been given legal advice to withhold the news until 2 weeks before the move. I really want everyone to have the least amount of stress possible and the move is definate due to a job transfer. Thanks for your time.

How do I keep water out of baby's ears (19month old boy) when i wash his hair? He does not sit still for me, he constantly moves around, so it's hard to tilt his head back and keep the water away from his ears. Any tips?

There is this girl who is really young who says she is having my boyfriends baby. She is due in July but she was claiming to be pregnant before my boyfriend and i even met and we have been together for almost a year now. But she is making problems in our relationship and to top it all off i am 24weeks pregnant myself. I don't know what to do. How am i going to explain this to my child when she asks how she has a sister 2 months older than her? What should I do?

My 10yr. old daughter is over 160lbs. Even though she is pretty tall and always active, is just can't lose any weight. Right now she is cutting down on her intake, but I just feel so bad for her since I know she still has a lot of growing to do. I try to tell her about her weight problem without upsetting her, but she is very sensitive. Her friends accept her since she is very nice, but health wise I know this can't be good for her. Both parents and kids with a simplar problem please respond.

My 10 month old has just recovered from a bad bout of the stomach flu. He's better and well-hydrated, but I really want him to get used to drinking water to stay hydrated (yes, he had pedialyte while he was sick but only if we squirted it in his mouth...he didn't like it either). He just isn't interested in water. We've tried adding a little fruit juice. No dice. Any other strategies? Should I just let it go? He eats lots of fruit so I know he gets water that way. He drinks formula pretty much exclusively (he eats LOTS of solid foods).

My periods are shorter and less severe, yet I know I'm pregnant because of the additional weight gain and sensitivity of my nipples.
This is my first pregnancy in ten years. I am 38 yrs. old.
