i am a light-skinned black man. i have indian in the family. not only do the kids of mexicanos have the brown skin, some do, some also have the features of african-americans. you know we come in all shades, features, hair texture.

you know history covers up a lot. there many afro-mexicans in mexico. there was a man named that all mexicans still celebrate today and he was an afro-mexican. guerro, maybe i misspelled it. plus mexicans took in runaway slaves and they hated slavery. the slaves fought with mexicans. some say there were over 200,000 afro-mexicans but have intermingled with other races so they have willowed down to not ever being mentioned. there are still bloodlines that you can see.

Mexico along with most other Caribbean and South American Countries received a large portion of African Slaves like America did. So they aren't all that different from you and I.

True, many mexicans carry african genes and therefore sometimes some of the children have some african characteristics. In mexico their is only one race, "the cosmic race" which incorporates all three major roots spanish, indian, and african. Since mexico was such a huge country and had a greater population, as compared to Puerto Rico, that is why the distinction is not as visible. But yes I have family members that look black and some that look spanish, while others look straight indian or middle eastern!! anyways, we can all thank Spain for this beautiful mixture found throughout latin america.
