It seems that a few members of the GOP are upset because they’ll miss a vote because they indend on hanging on Bush’s coattails during his visit to the fire ravaged Claifornia on Thursday.

Perhaps if they’d stay and do their job - as aposed to taging along with Bush to play show & tell, they’d be able to vote.

Why can’t our elected officials just do the job we’ve hired them to do without playing the same ol’ political games???

For a long time, people have been moving down South for the warmer weather.

Now that things keep heating up, will people start moving up north for milder summers and lower electricity bills?

Is this Bush's way to supplement the economy of Mexico? The U.S. has spent over $1,000,000,000,000 on the drug war and it is not working. Why send another dime to these countries?

Let's get down to the heart of the matter. Do you feel that our legislators are best representing the citizens, the big business dollars, or the special interest groups that finance political campaigns?

Isn't it time for a change? A change from the people?

I've heard the term "neocon" used a lot on YA. While I think many don't even know what the word actually means and just use it as a derogatory term, I am wondering what candidates are some people calling neocon and which candidates are simply consevative, and why.

All USA attempts to undermine Cuba have failed.
Their economy is continual growth, of aprox 10%.
Most other sensible nations are trading with Cuba.
China is very very active in trade with Cuba.
Canada is allowed to visit & smoke cigars.

USA cannot visit nor smoke a Cuban cigar.
Ask yourself: is this sensible or neighborly?
Ask yourself: is this global or more flat earth?

Take this, for example.

I'm just wondering, because I don't actually believe Fox News is serving conservatives with anything more than a vehicle to laugh at how riled up liberals tend to become about their fake stories.

Also, I'm not talking about CNN, CBS or MSNBC, so please refrain from red herring fallacies.

Americans objectify women. Women are led to believe their worth is based on looks, playboy covers not on character or intelligence. Anna Nicole Smith, Monroe & Brittney r revered. If your not size 6 or under, your looked down upon.
Americans wont even let a woman be President. Many women have tried to run, but y have no females won?
R u telling me that over 200 years of freedom and not 1 female was good enough to be president in this free country??

Muslim &3rd world countries have had female Presidents/Prime Ministers You'd think USA where everyone should be equal would have caught up.

Those who say Muslim men stone/abuse their women: American men don't have to abuse their women. The women are already abusing their own bodies. A false sense of freedom when they say women can choose. YET.American females starve themselves(by CHOICE?) to death and engage in self destructive, promiscuity(getting diseases) and imposing silicone and unnatural substances in their bodies to be accepted.

I have not seen the foreclosure problem discussed from this point of view.
I have heard the lenders blamed for being greedy, I have heard borrowers blamed for being greedy and stupid. But isn't the real problem that we have a nation full of people whose credit is in the toilet and they cannot qualify for a regular "non-subprime" mortgage? WHY ARE SO MANY PEOPLE ONLY ABLE TO BUY HOMES BY GETTING MORTGAGES FOR MEANT FOR HIGHER RISK BORROWERS???

Illegal immigrants from Mexico come to the U.S. because they KNOW there are more job opportunities for them than there are in Mexico. It's called Survival of the Fittest. They come here to survive. You can't blame them for trying to improve their lives through hard work- and make no mistake- they work hard. In Los Angeles, you will NEVER see a Mexican begging off a freeway ramp - only whites and blacks do that. That is a fact.

However, they are here illegally and that is against the law. But shouldn't the U.S. COMPANIES (are you listening, George Bush) who hire illegals be the scapegoats? Shouldn't U.S. citizens work those jobs so that the Mexicans don't have to? (Right, so get your cozy **** away from the computer and pick some crops 12 hours a day in a field. Hey- you'll be fuel efficient because you can sleep in the same field!!)
