"With no new evidence, Fox continues to ask: Did al Qaeda burn California?

For the second straight day, Fox News stood virtually alone in advancing thinly supported speculation to raise fears that the wildfires ravaging California are not the result of a confluence of arid heat and high winds but were set deliberately by al Qaeda terrorists bent on destroying America."

"Camerota said Fox's fear-mongering was "based on some information the FBI sent to local law enforcement in California and other Western states ... that there was a plot afoot to set three or four different" fires. Left unsaid by the Fox news-reader was that the FBI warning was sent more than four years ago, described a potential plot that made no mention of California, could not be proven accurate and did not raise alarms from forrest-fire officials at the time. (Such caveats all were included in an Associated Press report on the warning at the time.)"

All the b#tching & moaning & whining & complaining & stabbing in the back & lying & the clicks & jealously & the drama & crying & the yelling & so much more BS.

Is there really any difference between the US Federal Govt & Linsay, Paris, & Britney? Stupid, ignorant, little girls, who LOVE the TV cameras & are experts at wasting time & money?

So why is it that the politicans in Washington, with some of the most important jobs in America, get to keep their jobs when their employers (US Taxpayers) give them such poor approval ratings?

The republicans keep saying that Saddam Hussein was bad (the illness was serious), but a doctor first duty is to do no harm. And to kill the patient is "never" a good course of action; it is negligence, severe malpractice and homicide.

If you didn't have "career" politicians things could actually get done in US Govt. mainly because those politicians would not be worried about getting re-elected. And not being worried about getting re-elected means never having to listen to lobbyists who give them the money to get re elected. One term politicians could actually use their own minds for once.

Isn't health insurance an example of socialized medicine? We invest our money into a pool so that if we get sick, society (the people vested in the insurance fund) shares the burden of one persons illness. Is that not socialized by definition?

I make my living off the evening news
Just give me something-something I can use
People love it when you lose,
They love dirty laundry

Well, I coulda been an actor, but I wound up here
I just have to look good, I dont have to be clear
Come and whisper in my ear
Give us dirty laundry

Kick em when theyre up
Kick em when theyre down
Kick em when theyre up
Kick em when theyre down
Kick em when theyre up
Kick em when theyre down
Kick em when theyre up
Kick em all around

We got the bubble-headed-bleach-blonde who
Comes on at five
She can tell you bout the plane crash with a gleam
In her eye
Its interesting when people die-
Give us dirty laundry

Can we film the operation?
Is the head dead yet?
You know, the boys in the newsroom got a
Running bet
Get the widow on the set!
We need dirty laundry

You dont really need to find out whats going on
You dont really want to know just how far its gone
Just leave well enough alone
Eat your dirty laundry

Kick em when theyre up
Kick em when theyre down
Kick em when theyre up
Kick em when theyre down

Kick em when theyre up
Kick em when theyre down
Kick em when theyre stiff
Kick em all around

Dirty little secrets
Dirty little lies
We got our dirty little fingers in everybodys pie
We love to cut you down to size
We love dirty laundry

We can do the innuendo
We can dance and sing
When its said and done we havent told you a thing
We all know that crap is king
Give us dirty laundry!

WASHINGTON, Oct 25 (Reuters) - The United States slapped new sanctions on Iran and accused its Revolutionary Guard of spreading weapons of mass destruction on Thursday but Russian President Vladimir Putin said such moves only forced Tehran into a corner over its nuclear program.

Also labeling Iran's Qods military force a supporter of terrorism, Washington imposed sanctions on more than 20 Iranian companies, banks and individuals as well as the defense ministry, hoping to increase pressure on Tehran to stop uranium enrichment and curb its "terrorist" activities.----------------

No matter what you think about Michel Savage's political views, you must admit he is one of the smartest personalities on the airwaves. I have to admit he is a bit fanatical in his views and given he was more tolerant (just a bit).
If you don't think he's smart call in and debate him.
Agree or disagree.

and let's say the war is helping no one, and greatly harming our country and the civilians of the country we're in. am i a "cut and runner" or a "surrenderer" if i point out the fact that its better for america to end the war than to continue it?

let's say i speak out against the president for choosing to continue the war. am i anti american for questioning the government, and perhaps only a "true patriot" if i follow that government blindly?

Fooling Yourself (The Angry Young Man)***

You see the world through your cynical eyes
You're a troubled young man I can tell
You've got it all in the palm of your hand
But your hand's wet with sweat and your head needs a rest
And you're fooling yourself if you don't believe it
You're kidding yourself if you don't believe it
How can you be such an angry young man
When your future looks quite bright to me
How can there be such a sinister plan
That could hide such a lamb, such a caring young man

You're fooling yourself if you don't believe it
You're kidding yourself if you don't believe it
Get up, get back on your feet
You're the one they can't beat and you know it
Come on, let's see what you've got
Just take your best shot and don't blow it
You're fooling yourself if you don't believe it
You're killing yourself if you don't believe it
Get up, get back on your feet
You're the one they can't beat and you know it
Come on, let's see what you've got
Just take your best shot and don't blow it.

The US was in continual threat of being bombed to smithereens in the 80's...yet Republicans then KNEW that pre-emptive strikes were out of the question...

Now a bunch of freaks with rifles release tapes saying that we're the enemy and all the nations Republicans want to pre-emptively strike countries like Iran and even Pakistan.

What are modern Republicans so overwhelmingly cowardly ?
