The majority of the people voted for them anyway so I guess you can say they got what they asked for.

Hm... what if the EMPLOYER knew the things the employee was doing was keeping his COMPANY safe? Any good leader doesn't fold under pressure nor do they do what everyone else THINKS they should so. They do what they believe is right and is in the BEST INTEREST of the people that follow them.
By the way... what politicians are you talking about? The NEWLY elected Congress with approval ratings in the dirt? CONGRESS is the reason we aren't getting anything passed. There are TOO many liberals wanting to spend TOO much money, and politicizing every single little piece of legislation to get what THEY want for THEIR constituents. This doesn't mean always doing what's best for the American people. Because if it were up to them we'd still have a pre-9/11 mentality of HOPING something doesn't happen.
Fact of the matter is we're at war and the military gets or should get pretty much a blank check. Because as far as I'm concerned THAT is the ONLY reason we are able to leave our home and actually WORK to pay TAXES.
This isn't a damn GAME, it's not like baseball where a pitcher gives up a couple runs and it's off to the bullpen. Not to mention, keep in mind that if anyone actually tried to impeach Bush what do you think would happen the next time a Democrat is in office and screws up?

Because they don't need the job and nobody that is smart enough to actually do the job well is dumb enough to want it.
You get to fire them with your ballot. OH? you don't have good choices? So you don't vote?
Here's what you do. Register to vote. Go to the polling place.
Sign in. Go into the voting booth and close the curtain. You have just registered that you exercised your right and performed your patriotic duty. Don't touch any of the levers. Don't even lean on the thing. Open the curtain. Go home.
You just registered with no doubt that you voted for no one.
If just 10% of eligible voters did that, you would see that fact on the news the next day before you found out who won.

Once America (i.e. the employers) voted for him, he was guarenteed a four year employee tenure in which he cannot be fired unless he violates the constitution or the laws supporting the constitution.
You want a new employee? Applications are already in the mail, interviews will be held all next year.

I hope this means that Harry Reid will soon be out on the street. His approval rating in his home state is lower than Bush's! Of course, Bush doesn't care what you think, he loses his job Jan 09 no matter what!

Because liberal sheep will continue to elect liberals like Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Charlie Rangel, Russ Feingold, Olympia Snow, Barbara Boxer, Hillary Clinton, and Shelia Jackson Lee. But don't blame it all on the voters, these days congress spends more time re-engineering their districts to almost assure themselves of reelection than they do on useful legislation.

You're argument is missing one key component. Americans are more than happy to "voice" their displeasure via telephone or internet, BUT, they are too lazy to get off of their asses to vote.
Last I checked, getting voted into office trumps any opinion poll.

I understand your point. However, this would be impossible to enact. If this were the case, absolutely nothing would get done. Every time someone disagrees with a politician, there will be a group trying to out him/her.
