why hasn't the media show all the positive from the surge?

all i see is the negative?

i know that the surge is working but it makes me sick to see all the "major" news channels not report it.... but they are willing to show all the negative.

False News enjoys showing every positive wrinkle. They also decided that nothing could be garnered by reporting the litany of terrorist explosions. Paris Hilton was more important than people dying.

It's interesting, isn't it? When the war was going badly, it was "All war, all the time." Now that the effort is working and working incredibly well, not a peep. You wouldn't even know there was a war the way the media's not covering it. And notice too that the democrats in congress have been amazingly quiet after their embarrassing behavior in September and progress being made. Maybe they're gathered somewhere in a meeting room, facing east and praying to Allah that America will still lose and bring their party glory in the loss.

You also know that the surge is working because Yahoo 'progressives' are getting more vicious than ever. Some might call that desperation, but certainly they couldn't possibly be hoping for America to fail in it's attempts to bring freedom and democracy to an oppressed people.

want the democrats to lose the next election so
they will only report the negative aspect of the
US Military operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and the
rest of the Middle East!! They want the USA to lose, that was the way it was during the Vietnam War, because I spent 3 tours there in 1967 - 1968

News agencies don't have the budget to send talking heads to places where there is no strife or despair.

Look at it this way. By definition, what is news is what is unusual. Negative is unusual so that's where their assets go.

I knew things were getting better there as soon as the number of embedded reporters dropped.
Then when the majors were just regurgitating what AP and Reuters were feeding them, that was it for me. It's almost over.
Now the occaisional human interest story will come across. Some sensational story about some a who fell and broke his arm because of Bush's hegemony or man bites dog crap.

people are so numbed by the negative events. that when something positive happens, they don't know how to respond. Plus the main stream media plays it down . There is this thing called freedom of the press, it's more like restricted honesty.The media has always been bias to the left.anything positive to report is bad news to the left. Because the media is too cowardly to tell the truth when it does not serve the interest of the liberal nutjobs like moveon.org. Because the media to me is a bunch of bull shiters who only want to bring down our president and focus of the negative. My cousin was over in Iraq and told me all the good that is happening over there. But do we hear about it? No and that's not fair to our troops or our country as a whole.

With the exception of Fox News, the other liberal media outlets don't show the positive because as with any media outlet, there is a political agenda. The media does not place any value on showing the positive things that are happening over there. The media likes to jump on the band wagon about how the rich don't have to die in this war. I personally know several multi-millionaires who have re-enlisted and volunteered to be shipped to Iraq. One in particular re-enlisted back into the Navy Seals and deployed with Seal Team One.

The millions homeless?

The million people murdered? The thousands rotured and raped?

What positives?

How women used to be able to work and shop and generally leave their houses, but can't now?

How parents are afraid that, if they let their kid go to school, they'll never see them again?

Are those the positives?
