Sorry to Put this one up But Mike a San Diego Marine sitting next to me requested it. He feels it is the perfect reflection of a Liberal question. This is not a serious question. Just a table full of Marines (US and Brits) and a few of Us Army folk.

Or, do we turn off the computer at the end of the day, irritated, outraged and incensed?

I admit there are times when, if I were 10yo, I might be tempted to throw my computer and there are many days when I can't wait to let my liberal friends 'have it' over something I've seen written here and there are nights when I go to bed fully aggitated, worried if the country is going in the wrong direction and what my granddaughters' lives are going to consist of.

And then, there are, of course, always the days when I feel as though everything's going to be okay.

Are my reactions to this place the norm, is it what keeps us all coming back or, are most not so affected by their YaHoo experience?

Ok obviously we can not ever stop things like hurricanes, forest fires, or earthquakes. That said when they happen how come we do not just immiditatly pour in resources to the area. For instance if a disaster needs 1000 responders why do we not right off the bat send 5000. I know we need to be prepared for contigencies elsewhere but this is America we should have the resources.

Even Bill Maher hates them:

I went to a memorial service in Manhattan on 9/11, and they were all over the damn place. The NYPD let them stand across the street and chant "9/11 was an inside job!"
So, would anyone here object to making it legal to beat them until red snotbubbles come out of their nose?

Mine is Enya's "The river sings".(Some of you might truly get as to why i say this. There are quite a few brilliant as well as philosophical individuals on here.).
Yours?

This makes no sense. And it applies to every political party, religion, race, gender, and orientation. Why do people who live in America and who absolutely hate this country STAY in the first place?

There's no one stopping them from immigrating to somewhere else so why don't these Americans move somewhere else if they abhor their own country?

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people." -----Theodore Roosevelt

"America must remain American." ----Calvin Coolidge

Also, What do you think the mainstream media would do if President Bush said the exact same words?

reason Americans are no longer "sheeple" and speak out against stupid things concerning them and their country? The media used to jump on anyone voicing an opinion about something they thought was bad for their family or the country, but not anymore. Is this what is waking up Capitol Hill?
