Not unless Hillary gets elected.
She has already stated that she wouldn't rule out using nukes in Afghanistan or Pakistan to bomb al-quada.
Unlike the previous President, who attacked/invaded 6 countries on 4 separate continents, all without Congressional approval.
President Bush, doesn't use military force, without the consent of Congress.

If there were a world war 3 and Iran is an immediate threat with a the same kind of nuclear weapon then yes. I could almost say for a fact that the United States will use a nuclear weapon but on what? who? where? when? don't know. But according to past predictions the world will end in 2012 or sometime in the 2000s and i don't think any nuclear weapons will go off anytime soon. So we may never use nuclear weapons. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9odsuIcUk5w

Short answer, NO. Regardless of who is the president is or will be I see absolutley no reason to believe that the US will us nuclear weapons on any country in the foreseable future. The US is engaged in numerous organizations and treaties to prevent the use of and manufacturing of nuclear weapons- Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, and other agreements- and would loose all credibility on the international scene if they used one.
Not to mention the affects it would have with US-Russian relations. If we so much as invade Iran, Russia has essentially promised war with the US.
With the capabilities of the US military, many other weapons can be utilized without using a nuclear bomb if war ever did start with Iran.

Nuclear weapons are not an option for any God fearing nation, Japan it was a necessity, I will be glad when that Idiot Bush is out of the White House. Iran does not pose a threat to us. If Israel want them out she should do it. I am tired of the US doing Israel's dirty work in the Middle East.

I've seen this question on YA quite a bit and I never understand why anyone thinks we would ever use nuclear weapons on Iran, or anyone else.

It's possible, though highly unlikely.
Of course, when people think of Nuclear, they think of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. However, any nuclear weaposn we would use today would not be the same. They would be weaker/more controlled, bunker busting. The goal would be to destroy underground complexes as opposed to cities.
As I said before, it is highly unlikely, because we now have conventional, bunker busting bombs which would be essentially just as effective.

Iran doesn't have a nuclear capability. No, the U.S. won't nuke Iran. Iran has done nothing wrong. Their President just has a big mouth. He doesn't even control Iran's military.
Cheney and Hadley want to occupy Iran to install a pro-American govt. there. It would make Israel feel better.

doubt it... with russians nuclear silos still in operation, the fact we have more efficient and less toxic weapons such as the MOABs for large area use and Bunker Busters for short area...
nuclear weapons are really too destructive for conventional warefare... only idiots would use them... which is a good reason to keep them out of Iran's hands.
