For a long time, people have been moving down South for the warmer weather.
Now that things keep heating up, will people start moving up north for milder summers and lower electricity bills?

replican,
I live in Houston Texas. The humidity is pretty bad here too. That together with the heat (along with some other reasons) has me considering a move to California, where atleast it won't be as humid.

Yes. My wife and I are in our 40's and plan to retire in Minnesota so we don't have to worry about not having enough water.
The heat is getting worse, but the chance of not having any drinking water is what made this decision easy.

Some might because they are panicky and stupid.
The smart ones will move where it can't get any hotter than it is and can take advantage of trade winds that make it comfortable.
Central America comes to mind. It's not getting any warmer there and they have never experienced a glacier either.
Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Exumas. They could use the business. Get in on the ground floor before the nut jobs figure it out.

Only the rich people. Only rich people can afford to move with the climate. Well, rich people and migratory birds.
I grew up in a military family, and I've been north and south. Someday, when I have more money than I have now... a lot more, I'd like to permanently relocate to Alaska. Meanwhile, I'm stuck in the hot Southwest.

I thought everyone move south because of lower taxes?
Anyway, the weather has been great in Buffalo all summer. It stayed warm all through October. Come on up!

The baby boomers are aging. They'll probably start moving south in record numbers. As much for the tax laws in Florida as anything else.

I like it just fine in Louisiana.
Lemme tell ya, it's not the heat that gets you down here. It's 70-100% humidity that makes you feel like you should've applied deodorant to your legs.

they already do, and it won't save you any money in electric bills considering it gets dark in maine at 4p.m. for 6 months out of the year, and it costs an arm and a leg to heat your house :)
