Let's see in World War II we conquered Germany, Japan, and Italy. Following the war, we turned all three countries back over to their own people. In 1990 Operation Desert Shield, we conquered Iraq in Kuwait. We turned the country back over to the Kuwaiti's. I would say, we were just good friends to have on your side. I could give many more examples but suffice it to say, we are not gathering more territory, just protecting our own interest.

I would also like to point out, that we were the first to have the atomic bomb, if we had wanted world domination, and I mean total, we could have had it then. We would have been the Largest empire ever known to Man. Total Global Domination!

Americans do not want to CONTROL the world.

Take your own advise read some history the US has been strong since the start of this free nation. Fact is we have people who are not mindless and weak in spirit. We are willing to fight for our rights to have democracy. WE want to share with nations that don't in order to have world peace.

Americans don't want wars at all. We aren't the least bit interested in war. We would love to have our soldiers home safely. We aren't interested in controlling the whole globe either. We're just a country sharing this planet with everyone else.

No, it's called an Imperialist Bush-ocracy.

The American people, with VERY few exceptions, are just as outraged and horrified as the rest of the world at what these monsters have instigated. And it's hard to tie the bastards' hands when your elected officials whom had promised to rectify the situation have turned their collective backs on you as well.

America has over 700 military bases worldwide. there are fewer than 300 countries in the world. America's use of force around the globe has nothing to do with democracy. it has everything to do with military dominance and imperialism.

Military strength and intellegence is the reason you are allowed to freely speak your mind on this board, and in public.

Nothing lasts forever, but we live in the now. And for 400 years we have been mighty, strong, and proud... and safe compared to the rest of the globe.

This was definately not the intentions of the men that created democracy and our constitution. We have become, as a people under our leaders, drunk with power and using fear as a motivation, since the victory in WWII.

We have no intention on controlling anyone on this planet. We do however will find ways to insure that all peoples are free. That is one of the best ways to insure our security.
