He is a person of integrity, decency and principal. With what we know of Mr. Gonzales, what does that say about our President if that's what the President truly believes?

We've smashed their country, we've taken the basics of running water and energy. We have thrown their borders open to every Islamic nut in the Middle East. Then we get impatient because they aren't putting together the type of government we think they should have. So how long before the Shiite,Sunnis and Kurds find us the common enemy?

Saturday afternoon I visited Federal Hall on Wall Street and went down the street to Fraunces Tavern (the oldest building in Manhattan) where George Washington gave his farewell speech to his officers.

There I went on a tour of the early days of our nation. They actually have a lock of George Washington's hair on display there. (No, not that powdered wig thingie, but his actual hair).

Despite the grim outlook most people have of this great nation (even I get discouraged when I think about where this country is going), I was just glad to get a first hand look on how this country was founded and it makes me glad to live in the greatest country in the world.

Or, perhaps he is just totally incapacitated. Maybe he is in a perisitent, vegetative state or a coma.

In any case, the Cuban government seems to be sending the message that Castro is alive, and that while reecovering froma severe phyical illness he is intellectually just fine.

They also continue to say that his recovery is going well.

So why is there no real evidence that he is alive? Why is he never seen in public?

Has there even been a photo that proves he is alive? Such as one where he is holding a recent newspaper in his hand?

How can outgoing U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales say that he "lived the American dream" He has been a disgrace to the office of the Attorney General and to the principals for which it stands.

To me, living the American dream is to do you best, help your fellow man, and be as successful as you can while still having high moral standards and acting within the limits of the law.

Did Gonzales do that?

What do you think?

Zalmay Khalilzad, US Ambassador to the United Nations, in an interview given to an Austrian newspaper, was quoted as saying,

"Europe was just as dysfunctional for a while. And some of its wars became world wars. Now the problems of the Middle East and Islamic civilization have the same potential to engulf the world,"

Do you believe that the problems we are facing in the Middle East could cause the next world war?

Is it fair that we went to go kick the crap out of some small country unrelated to 911?
Is it fair that the American public was repeatedly led to believe that Iraq somehow had something to do with 911?
Bush said "I never said it was related"?
Is this a big bald faced lie?

It seems that when you look at the great civilizations throughout history, they've all fallen because of problems within (like a rotten apple core). What do you think is the greatest threat to the United States? Is it liberalism, socialism, conservatives, or radical Islam? Should we be concerned about the moral decline of our nation? Should we be concerned about how our children are more violent and exposed to drugs etc at younger and younger ages? What do you think of all this?
