Even though I'm against the death penality due in large part far too many have been wrongly convicted on faulty evidence and others have been set free on DNA testing it's difficult NOT to demand John Evander Couey recieve the dealth penality for the heidnious crime for kidnapping 9-year-old Jessica Lunsford, raping her and burying her alive in his yard.

How do you feel about a mericless crimminal such as John Evander Couey and what he did to that beautiful and defenseless child and the death penality in cases such as this where there is over whelming evidence as to his guilt?

I'm not a political genius, but why are so many people so quick to bash anything the goverment decides to do. Are you free every day to do what you want? Are you the most free country in the world wandering around not worrying about authority? If we pull out of Iraq do you think things will be better? They will be worse. Do you really think that war is so simple as to just leave and the US is so stupid to just put us in there with no purpose. Why is all of Hollywood so rude about the US and Bush? Can't we take pride in our country? Most importantly, I'm tired of everyone talking trash about war like that makes you into politics like you know some shi*. Who really like war people? Get your facts straight. Ok, now I'm ready for all of the folks to tell me what I've already read 20 times over. I'd rather have 1 bloke agree with me.

How can people suggest that you can't be liberal and a Christian? How can people judge someone based on a sliver of their real life posed here online. I am a proud Christian and a liberal. How can you tell me that I am not truly a beleiver when you do not know me? I know conservatives that are atheists. What about them. There are no ignorant answers about them online, so give Christian liberals a break and show us some common decency.

the fact that the USSR was spending over half of its entire fiscal budget on their military?

Reagan can be credited with encouraging an arms race and proliferating military spending in both the US and USSR, but I think people should reconsider the importance of his "Tear this wall down" speech concerning the Cold War.

As more of a liberal than anything else, I acknowledge the role Reagan and his administration played in bringing an end to the Cold War. However, to give all credit to him and overlook the importance of the financial irresponsibility of the Soviets is to make an err concerning history.

Any thoughts?

I am firm in my beliefs, but does anyone out there respect people who challenge your beliefs? I knock head with Chi Guy almost daily, and Longhaired Freaky Person. Sometimes they're a little to far in left field, but many times I have to spend many moments thinking of a reply. Who else respects those who can present a hard challenge to your beliefs?

About the Fairness Doctrine being something created by liberals to kill conservative speech, when in reality....

-The thing was created in 1949, as a way to kill any and all speech considered pro-communist

-The whole idea for it was sparked after a liberal reporter verbally attacked a conservative politician

- and it was a liberal justice,William Joseph Brennan, Jr., who dealt the final blow to the Fairness Doctrine when the Supreme Court decided it limited Freedom of Speech, by being the voted that tilted the decision in opposition of the fairness doctrine.

I tend to listen to conservative talk radio and have been trying to listen to liberal talk radio to see what arguments they have regarding terrorism, illegal immigration, drugs, religion, etc. So far, I've noticed that conservative talk radio tends to spread their issues out more and do not just focus on politicians, but the topics I just mentioned. Whenever I try to listen to liberal talk radio (such as Mike Malloy, Stephanie Miller, or Randi Rhodes), it's always something about how they hate Bush. They hate Bush and his administration. Fine. I get that. But I don't need to hear it all the time.

So is there anyone who can refer me to a liberal talk radio host who actually speaks about other important issues or am I being proven right that it's pointless to listen to liberal talk radio?
