Why are people so worried about discussing troop withdrawl openly?

The "enemy" already knows the US cannot and will not stay forever, it's not like we will be there one day and "poof!" we're gone the next.

We are so involved over there that it'll be known way in advance that we are pulling out; simple logistics dictates that.

So, should people stop with the "you can't talk openly about a withdrawl date" talk? In my humble opinion, the Iraqi government won't "stand up" until they realize the U.S. crutch is pulling out.

1. To invade other nations in an effort to "spread democracy," or
2. To defend the United States against threats?

Note the word "PRIMARY" in the question; that means you're limited to ONE choice. I'm curious what people think the most important thing our military does is. And I'm NOT speaking with regard to the war in Iraq, so save your snarky comments about how our military invaded Iraq to protect us from al Qaeda, okay? It's not only untrue, it's completely irrelevant to the question I'm asking.

Or defend Newt Gingrich's infidelities and divorcing his wife for another woman while she lay dying of cancer.

I keep seeing people say this in response to a lot of debates about government programs.

My question is- do you think there are enough full time jobs w/benefits to go around? Is there enough well paid work out there for every single person to make a good enough living to pay for their home, food, AND health care?

And if not, are you simply suggesting that the people who do not make the cut, and can't get the better jobs, don't deserve medical care when they are sick? And their kids?

Or do you think that, in fact, there is enough to go around already that if every single poor or homeless person "got off their fat a*s" tomorrow, everyone would be fine?

This is the one thing about conservative attitudes that doesn't add up for me, so I'd really like to hear what people think.

Kucinich Wins Debate Poll, ABC Covers Up Results

Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich's supporters (and, according to his website, even some non-supporters) are demanding that ABC explain its actions of the last few days.

On Monday afternoon, Congressman Kucinich took a significant lead in the ABC online poll: Who won the Democratic debate? About the time that he took that lead, ABC removed the poll from its prominent position on the ABC website. Then a new poll suddenly went up, "Who is winning the Democratic debate?"

Those events could be seen as technical glitches, but there was more to come. Kucinich took the lead in the second poll, also, and that poll, too, was dropped. ABC also "forgot" to announce the results (Kucinich tied with Sen. Hillary Clinton as the winner), and news about the poll is nowhere to be seen on the ABC website. Kucinich was also cut out of a group photo of all the candidates in the debate. (Washington Post)

Many liberal men started that about a month ago.

Where's your individualism?
In one question today I saw four women use the same line. Do you not read through all the answers first and come up with your own material?

You people are much brighter than that! Be wordy, expressive and give us more to fall out of our chairs from.

What's funny once isn't funny after the second, third, fourth time.

I want more funny lines please!!!

Please?

Speaking before the Mexican Congress, Elvira Arellano states, "The United States is the one who broke the law first. By letting people cross over without documents. By letting people pay taxes"

This is the most convoluted justification for committing a crime that I have ever heard. What makes it even worse is the fact that the Mexican Senate is urging President Calderon to send diplomatic communications to the US protesting her deportation. Mexican Sen. Humberto Zazue went so far as to say that the US violated international deportation accords. Am I the only one who is appalled by the gall displayed by Ms. Arellano and the Mexican officials?
