just to be sparkling, the Viet Cong ("Charlie") became the guerrilla arm of the Vietnam conflict attempt, being the South Vietnamese indigenous fighters. The NVA (North Vietnamese military), by way of fact the call shows, have been from the northern area of that divided united states and tended to be uniformed 'experts.' The NVA have been his captors, no longer the VC. i've got heard that approximately McCain until now. a minimum of, fellow classmates, fellow pilots and fellow POWs have suggested that he's impulsive, haughty, warm-tempered, and irrational, all features that we've seen exhibited in this marketing campaign and clarification why people who know you suited won't assist you. You have been at your suited in 2000, John-boy; that is been a greased slide on the grounds that then. Your devolution into sleaze has broken our hearts yet tempered our will to work out you as you relatively are: a poseur. His appeal a s a maverick, wounded POW and patriot ought to have no longer something to do with the actuality that he's a doddering previous fool, out of touch with reality (evidence: Palin !!!) and could be risky as POTUS, Like Dubya, he's a cowboy and hence irrationally hyperactive, making rash judgements: he'd shoot first and ask questions (consistent with risk) later. thank you, yet no thank you, John. Ye hath been judgedeth and foundeth desiring.

Mr. McCain was captured on Oct. 26, 1967, after his Navy plane was shot down while on a bombing run over Hanoi. He parachuted into a lake, breaking both arms and a leg.
Sooooooooo Genius. That would mean he was captured by the NVA not the Viet Cong.
Now go to your room.

The man is lucky to be alive after being shot down. He was too injured to fight and was captured by the local villagers and turned over to the viet cong.
Funny how the liberals of the world like to put a untrue spin on the facts. Why don't you watch the history channel next time they profile him and you may learn something.

John McCain is a man of great courage and personal fortitude for surviving with his sanity after years of abuse following his capture. I am certain there were times when he wished he had fought to the death instead. I am not a big McCain supporter but I have great respect and admiration for his service, his sacrifice, and all that he suffered in the service of his country. To even suggest cowardice on his part from behind the anonymity and safety of your computer keyboard is beneath reprehensible

nice try..... senor troll.
kinda hard to fight back or escape with two broken arms and broken leg.
On October 26, 1967, McCain's A-4 Skyhawk was shot down by an anti-aircraft missile, landing in North Vietnam's Truc Bach Lake, near Hanoi. McCain broke both arms and a leg after ejecting from his plane.[10] After he regained consciousness, a mob gathered around him, spat on him, kicked him and stripped him of his clothing. He was then tortured by soldiers from North Vietnam, who crushed his shoulder with the butt of a rifle and bayoneted him in his left foot and abdominal area. He was then transported to the Hoa Lo Prison, also known as the "Hanoi Hilton".[11][10]
Once McCain arrived at the prison, he was placed in a cell and interrogated daily. When McCain refused to provide any information to his captors, he was beaten until he lost consciousness.[12]

I do not agree with McCain, well because I run a bit more conservative but....
He served his country with honor. I am a vet and I dont know if I could have gone through what he went through.
I think the only coward in this conversation well..... you all can guess who that is. One hint though, he probably lives north of Minnesota and East of Alaska.

As a liberal democrat, I take offense at your remark.
Face it John McCain was and still is a hero, a great patriot.
I have the uttmost respect for John Mc Cain, although his and my political views differ sharply.
Stay in Canada

This is really kind of a hateful question. What would YOU have done, disabled in enemy territory, injured and surrounded by opposing forces? Thought so.

He was a prisoner of war. He served our country with dedication and bravery and is a very strong man, in my personal opinion. What he endured in captivity would have broken a lesser man.
