No, they want the stupid Americans to be afraid, because that's the only way to insure thier election.

I do not believe the first part. As for the second part I think so. As you recall air travel was suspended after 9/11. Also, a panic on wall street where billion of dollars were lost.
So think about this, if the liberals get their way then the terrorists get their bill of rights. Now suppose a bridge was blown up every now and then. What do you think would happen to travel in the US.

Terrorists could shut down all US domestic and international air travel.....ahhhhh yeah, that already happened.
Terrorists could shut down our economy's ability to function in the market.......ahhhhh yeah, that already happened.
Terrorists could shut down at least one major city.....ahhhh yeah, that already happened.
Terrorists could take out sensitive government buildings....ahhhh yeah that already happened.
Terrorists could change our way of life, our approach to security, cause us to lose some convenience and individual freedoms, restrict how we travel and do business, cause us to spend loads of money on precautions and alter how we see the rest of the world and how the rest of the world sees us......ahhhhhh yeah, that ALL already happened.
Lets use that experience to examine our future.
Poison the water supply? No problem.
Germ infection? Easy
Food supply interrupted? Possible
Infiltrate and affect our youth with hate and violence? Already under way.
Take over our government institutions? See Minnesota, Houston, Austin, Dearborn, Brooklyn, etc. etc.
International trade skulduggery? Already happening.
US Currency Fraud and counterfeiting? See North Korea
Attacking military targets? I guess I don't have to elaborate here.
Attack our interests over seas? The list is too long.
Attack our institutions over seas (embassies)? Another long list.
I could go on but, I think you get the idea. I doubt that Americans are going to learn arabic because the socialist union activities in academia make it hard for them to even learn English.
But that the US, in it's divided state, is conquerable, is a certainty.
Snap out of it.

I have never heard a conservative say we would all be speaking Arabic, but the terrorists could destroy our country where it has no political institutions by committing a countless array of hostilities on US soil as their internal cells definitely are being designed for. Terrorists don't want to rule countries as you imagine they like the open borders and move to an international caliph that their writtings discuss.

I have many conservative friends and have never heard this said. Can you give me some examples. Also could terrorists take over the US - any movement could gain great amounts of force and backing if left unchecked - Could it take over the US - well I don't want to do nothing and find out.

That is just a spin off of ...we need to fight them over there so we don't have to fight them here. Which in turn is the same as the old domino theory. We must stop communism in Vietnam or else it will spread all throughout Asia. Well that proved to be grossly false back then much the same as the current fight them over there thinking is false now. It is merely scare tactics, fear mongering, pandering to neo-con right.

No.
This is a scare tactic by the right.
It's sort of ironic that the right wants to create an America that is conservative and is governed by conservative views.......yet that is exactly what fundamentalism is.
So in this reality conservatism is OK as long as it's not 'radical' conservatism or at least 'Muslim' fundamentalism.
In essence religious 'lite'.
Radicalism=bad U.S.Christian or Jewish law=good.
Sorry, both are too extreme for me. Thanks.
EDIT: To those here who keep saying no one on the right is saying this .......uh, yes some of the people who go on Hannity and Colmes type shows are saying this.
There was a woman who during the interview got upset at the rationality and intelligent responses by the woman on the left of the arguement and her only 'talking point' after awhile was...."Oh, yeah your gonna look great in that burqua lady" "Get used to how you look in a burqua."
TOTALLY implying that if we don't fight them there they will come and turn the U.S. into a Sharia country!
PLEASE!
I've read responses here where righties say these sorts of things as well!

I am conservative, and I have NEVER heard anyone make a statement like that. Where did you hear that? Did you hear one person who claimed to be conservative say it, then make a broad generalization that we must all feel that way? Well we don't, and stop making generalizations like that.

Can you please cite ONE source where any conservative said this please. I think if we were there or not we wouldn't be speaking Arabic.
Okay, I did...and it mentions nothing on Iraq, just Bill O'Reilly and Jimmy Carter. Next?
