religion is like politicians, all the same on the inside, only the appearance being different.
If you break them down to their most basic myths, they are all composed of exactly the same myths that represent the traits of human beings that all humans value, regardless of their origin.
it is silly to kill for the icing, when the cake is all the same flavor.

You must have watched that CNN thing. I don't think any religion is going to take over America, except maybe generitheism...
That is a belief in a god in a generic way without all of the political, sociological, economic or other baggage of a particular faith.
I think that a lot of Americans are getting fed up with Christianity and Islam. Hey, maybe Judaism is the next best thing...I don't hear a lot of anti-Semitism in America anywhere anyhow anymore.....interesting?
One of my favorite quotes is: "God is the thing. Religion is branding."

who knows but i am sure there will be another as long as their are men who feel that they need and want power over peaceful people.
christians and jew do not force others now ..they evolved. it is only the radicals that are stuck in the 7th century and want all the rest of the world to be also.
"The clash we are witnessing around the world is not a clash of religions, or a clash of civilizations. It is a clash between two opposites, between two eras. It is a clash between a mentality that belongs to the Middle Ages and another mentality that belongs to the 21st century. It is a clash between civilization and backwardness, between the civilized and the primitive, between barbarity and rationality. It is a clash between freedom and oppression, between democracy and dictatorship. It is a clash between human rights, on the one hand, and the violation of these rights, on other hand. It is a clash between those who treat women like beasts, and those who treat them like human beings. What we see today is not a clash of civilizations. Civilizations do not clash, but compete." by Wafta Sultan

All three religions will remain predominant for decades to come. The sheer numbers of believers, to include this responder, is enormous. Unfortunately, as with most things, man has managed to use a good thing for evil purposes.

Christianity because there are more Christians. It won't be a battle because the Christians and Jews are friends in the U.S.

Most Islamic countries were converted by the sword, not peace (speaking of history). I say that conservatively because I don't know one that was converted through peace.

I would hope no organized religion....I believe that individual spirituality is far superior to any dogmatic, fear based religion. But if there must be one, then I would have to vote for Judaism. *sm*

I guess you're one of those conspiracists who think the government bombed those buildings? I guess it was CIA agents dressed as Muslim men and women who were dancing in the streets of Deerborn on 9/11.

The "haves" and the "have nots" will be the next clash. I know it's not a religious thing, but that is what I think will happen.
