I really wish someone would answer this for me.
I have never understood why people believe this.
Why would God want any human to kill God's creation(another human being)??

Jeremy R: I am against partial birth abortion! Surprised? Not everything is black & white man.
I still remember where I was and what I was doing the first time I heard that the government (the Clinton administration) was going to make this legal. I was outraged. I don't agree with partial birth abortion. I do think the morning after pill should be easily accessible and I am understanding of abortion up to 8 weeks into a pregnancy. By 8 weeks you should be affirmed in a decision one way or the other. IMO.
I deplore abortion. I'd never have one. However, I will NEVER agree that abortion should be criminalized and I will NEVER believe that the government should force a woman to carry a pregnancy to term. This is a woman's decision.

False religions and misinterpretation are normally the culprit. Out of the three, Christianity is the only one that specifically preaches against war.
Not saying that the other two are pro-war (other than by interpretation). Am saying that the Bible says to love your enemy and if someone steals from you, give him your cloak as well. Sounds crazy in this day and age. However, Jesus had options other than dying if he so desired. Its easy to call yourself a Christian. It is very hard to live up to that name.
One might say what if some breaks into your home and threatens your family? The response would be, defend yourself. Then they might say, isn't that why we go to war? The response would be, whose home did Iraq invade?

There is a huge difference between "believers" and those who actually follow the Word of God. You are completely correct that God does not want any person to kill another person. I'm guessing inventions such as the "cluster bomb" make Him extremely upset and disappointed in us. I am of the opinion that ANY unwarranted killing (like say killing a deer for its antlers and not to feed your family) is totally against God's will.
Please don't hold Human stupidity against God.

I am not a Christian, or an adherent to any organized religion, but God does not want the to deliver their idea of what is his word. What God does want is for each of us to find our own path to our own truth by seeking within, and allowing all others to do the same. God also wants each of us to be true to who and what we really are, or really choose to be, and not ever try to be what someone else thinks we should be. *sm*

While some Christians perform the will of God daily, others decide what God wants, much like wackos like Osama deciding what Allah wants.
Some of them follow the word of God while others reinterpret it to use it as a weapon for persecution and hate.

Kelly, I don't think God wants us to kill anyone if it's avoidable. Jesus did preach to turn the other cheek. But, sitting back and letting a group of people kill at will like Usama wants, is something that God would not want. Look at WW2, do you think God wanted millions of soldiers to die on both sides? No. But, I'm sure God wasn't a big fan of Hitler's plans either.

I thought God wanted everyone to "turn the other cheek"
Plus - he loves everyone so very, very, very much but if you break one of his commandments he will send you to burn in hell for all eternity?
I believe in God, but I think the men who wrote the bible may have had some political influence.

You claim God is love and then off you go fighting and killing.
You know so many people just have no idea of what they say.
I guess they will all go to Hell.
