I am conservative - Anyone who can look into the eyes of a dog and see what looks back at them from behind those eyes, and then turn around and do what was done to those dogs at Vick's house...... well, suffice to say "Be afraid"!
-
I see being able to do that to a dog as just a short step away from being able to do the same to a human, and I don't want to walk any street where someone like Vick, black white or green, is allowed to roam. Am I the only one?

Personally, I do not believe that the government created AIDS, but lots of people obviously do. So I ask those who do believe it, what can be done to 'undo' what the government has done?

My 11 year old got home from school last November and called me in my office. She said "Dad I have some good news and some bad news." I said tell me both.

So she said, "the good news is I got 100% on my Science test." I said congratulations. Then she said "the bad news is Deval Patrick won the Governor's election - that means when I grow up I'll have to support all the kids who got 70s...."

Seriously folks, the economy's benchmarks under Bush are at the peak of the interest rate cycle what they were under Clinton at the trough of the interest rate cycle - - - - and I thought we all agreed, economic performance under Clinton was pretty good.

Is Iraq THAT bad that we overlook the strong economy? And why do people refer to Iraq in the plural - - "failures" - - - even if Iraq is a failure, it's ONE failure.

My friend showed me this article: http://www.oldamericancentury.org/14pts.htm

It says some things, like America becoming fascist. Its so chilling and it just might be true. Lousy Democrats cant inspire anything, voter apathy, GOP takes over the government, might end up as worst as the worst of Communist China.

If this does happen, im moving to Europe. It may be a socialism there, but at least they respect people.

What will remind Americans of democracy, voting, and having a voice in government? We have a lot of media, especially online. Perhaps if more people vote, even if the opposition to the GOP is horrible, we might not have a facist goverment.

Israel has suffered more terrorist attacks than any other modern day country . And after years of intensifying their security and informing their people , they now live with less terrorist attacks than before . In fact , their own government credits the people themselves as the 'Frontline on Terror' . Vigilance . Reporting suspicious behavior , etc .

Have they been successful because their people or media diminished the threat ? (laughable)

Do U.S. Republicans diminish the threat ?-- Nahhh , I don't think so .

So Who Does Diminish The Threat ? Hmmm .
And WHY ?

Why Would Any Responsible American Diminish The Threat From Terrorist Radical Islam ?

Ya know , as a side note , I can recall numerous liberal posts and politicians who not only dismiss the threat as 'small' , 'few' , and 'more likely to get killed in a tornado'. Does that help ?
Did Israelis say those things ?

And how many times have we seen a liberal say that we should learn based upon what 'other' countries did ?

People are protesting a ferry that runs between Hawaiian islands for this reason:

"The protesters and environmentalists argue that the ferry's plan to ply 400 miles of Hawaii waters each day endangers whales, threatens to spread invasive species and will worsen traffic and pollution."

Here are the questions:
1. Which party supports these ideas?
2. Is this group hostile toward human beings?
3. If you are a human, why would you vote for the party that houses this group's agenda?

When you consider that the attorney-general is probably the most important and powerfull cabinet officer (domestic matters, anyway), doesn't it seem strange that there is almost a custome of Presidents appointing AGs who are personally close to them? I understand that William Rogers was a close, personal friend of Richard Nixon's. John Mitchell was his campaign manager. And, of course, John Kennedy appointed his own brother. Alberto Gonzales goes back a long way with George Bush.
I've never heard it said that the President must be above politics, though it would be nice. But surely we expect the head of the Justice Dept. to be above this.
Would it be a good idea if the Senate turned down nominees on the grounds that they are too close? I see no reason why they couldn't.

they have the right to go around the world "correcting" the cultures of everyone else? Why do you think you have the right to tell everyone else what laws they should have, what customs they should follow? Europeans and their descendants, the Americans, have been trying to spread Christianity and western style gov't for centuries at the pint of a gun. The people of the America's, Africa and the ME had been doing just fine for 1000's of years, before the West invaded. Now they have nation states, artificial boarders, armies, wars, poverty, starvation, disease, a life out of balance with the natural world ...with their overlords, the West, telling them what kind of gov't and religion they can have, what customs they can follow, food they eat, clothes they wear, when they can sneeze. I may not like some of what they do, but their culture is a 1000 years older than mine, and 1000's of miles away , it's not my place to tell them who they can be, and what they can believe.

Rockefeller and Ford fortunes were enhanced in part through collaboration with Nazi Germany, the Rockefellers by selling the Nazis oil through the Standard Oil Company, and the Fords by selling the Nazis tanks through subsidiary corporations (note: the only industrial infrastructure spared in the Allied bombing of Germany was the Ford Motors plant near Cologne). Both Standard Oil (eventually Exxon, Mobil, and Amoco) and the Ford Motor Co. made huge profits from Defense contracts following WWII. Since 1950 a Rockefeller has held a prominent leadership position in the Council on Foreign Relations, and David Rockefeller was cofounder of the Trilateral Commission. Both organizations helped craft the "Carter Doctrine" of the late 1970s which stated that the US would heretofore intervene militarily to protect its oil supply from the Middle East.

The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) has been the historical driving force behind such bedrock institutions of corporate globalization as the United Nations, World Bank, International Monetary Fund, World Trade Organization (WTO), and NATO, and which Esquire magazine referred to in 1962 as "that part of the Establishment that guides our destiny as a nation." In 1950, the Chicago Tribune published a story on the CFR in which they stated, "[the members] have used the prestige that their wealth, their social position, and their education have given them to lead their country towards bankruptcy and military debacle. They should look at their hands. There is blood on them—the dried blood of the last war and the fresh blood of the present one."

It is long argued and well documented that the mission of this organization, working in conjunction with the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission, is to manipulate world governments and economies to promote a global, capitalist agenda commonly referred to as the "New World Order". These supranational bodies seek to dismantle national sovereignty (through mechanisms such as "Free Trade" agreements) in favor of a one-world government which primarily upholds the rights of corporations and the wealthy over the people.
