If Neocons had thier way, children wouldn't get the public education either. Also, the Health Care industry spends millions to lobby against losing thier profit margins.

Actually, education is not really a right. It is not mentioned anywhere in the Bill of Rights. Public education wasinstituted as a response to child labor practices, to protect and to also help create a more literate society. Public health care should be in the same sphere. Good public health helps everyone.

Well, I pay for my children's health care. I don't ask you to pick up that tab. So now you're asking me to pay for both my children and yours? That's an interesting tactic. "It's for the children." 99% of which are covered by some form of insurance. Let's create a new, multi-billion dollar entitlement for the 1% who are uninsured. But first, let's ask ourselves, are any of them being denied health care? The answer is no. Name one. Any one.
You see, those who want socialized health care do not want 'affordable' health care. In reality they want FREE health care. They want health care paid for by someone else, not them. My wife and I waited until we were financially able to support our children and provide for them before we started having them. I felt that this was the responsible thing to do. I mean, after all, why have children if you can't provide for their basic needs? Children are a responsibility, not a right, after all.
And yet there are folks like you out there advocating that I now be forced to support a few million more little dependents, none of whom are wanting for health care in this country? Where are their parents? Why aren't their parents paying for thier health care? Where did you get this idea that hand outs were somehow respectable.
But to answer your question simply, we all benefit from a good public education system. Very few would benefit from a government run and unnecessary health care program.

Be careful with that approach. They want to take away taxpayer funded public education, too!

Taxpayer funded public education is not a right. It is a program conducted by the government...and poorly at that.

Taxpayer funded education wont be a right in the US for long if we don't do something about the Federal budget deficit!!!
My brother literally says that everybody in the US should pay for their own education and if you don't have the money for that - tough! I don't think a return to the 1880's would improve anybody's lives!

in all probability no longer. For extra suited or worse, its been fought very effectively. In the two the Truman and Clinton tries. i think of the country is ill of Bush, and that i think of a Democrat is in all probability going to get in, yet that does no longer mean there is by some skill some liberal revolution coming i do no longer think of. I advise, i assume its attainable, Reagan replaced into waiting to get a number of his recommendations by using via fact people have been ill of Carter, you already know, even although a number of people concept he replaced right into a nutcase pre-1980, and moved the country to the properly suited, yet its by using no skill particular.

Don't know where you live but all kids are eligible for healthcare where I live. They get free immunizations etc. every year. Free meals. Free Education. All is according to what a person makes a year. Emergency room is open to everyone. This is already paid for by our taxes.

Can you help me? I can't seem to find either education or health care in the Constitution. Perhaps you can point out which article gives the government the authority to tax and spend on these?
Thanks!

Because if you educate the children and they get jobs they can afford health care for themselves and their children...
