What respect? The rest of the world is either jealous or scared of us. If we cared what the world though of us in the past, we would have been in serious trouble. Europe is not always right, in fact why should we repect them? You think they are any better than us? Racism is RAMPART in Europe (western as well as eastern). Crime, is out of control in many countries. Asia, show me a country in Asia that doesn't pollute and a majority of it's population live above the poverty line (yes, I know there are a few, but they are the size of Boston.)
The Middle East? Do I really need to say anything about that dump?
Stop feeling guilty that we are who we are, it is easy to blame the US for everything, not so easy to actually try and solve your own internal problems and give your people the same rights we have (Just ask Venezuela and Mexico)

If you mean the type of respect that the liberal democrats want, then no thanks. I would rather be disrespected by every other country on this planet.
We had a good man in office and a truely great president who have both been harassed and hindered by a liberal Congress looking for needles in a haystack that is made of wood. Seems there is nothing at all sticking in that haystack. These liberal democrats have abused their power and disgraced our country. They need to be held accountable for their actions.
