Why do Liberals criticize President of the United States of America for serving in the military in the Texas Air National Guard from 1968 to 1973 but they praise former President Bill Clinton who never served in the military?

And do not tell me that George W. Bush never served or he went AWOL. Although I am not 100% sure what he did for the military but I do know one thing, he was interested and he signed up. You cannot say the same thing about Bill Clinton.

Listen to Dick Cheney in 1994. Was he lying then or now? Or was it his profits in Halibuton that changed his mind?

He said the first thing he'll do after leaving the White House is "go dove hunting in West Texas."

BTW didn't Dick's hunting "accident" happen in Texas?

The fact of the matter is that Muslims just hate Christians and Jews. Take religion out of the equation and you'll have peace in the Middle East and other Islamic countries.

In the declaration of independence, it is written that "We hold these truths to be self-evident" SELF EVIDENT means that the morals of this country are not derived from any religious text, but rather from common sense. The god that is referred to in the declartion is never singled out as the Judeo-Christian god, but seems to be a Deist abstraction, since it is reffered to as "The God of Nature". Therefore, our morals are not Christian.

Article 11 of the treaty of Tripoli states that "The Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion". This treaty was sent to the Senate in 1797, where it was read to every Senator, and was unanimously ratified by all 23.

The phrases "Under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance and "In God we Trust" on our bills were added in the 1950's, during the height of McCarthyism, in order to set our country apart from Atheist Russia.

So where does this idea of a Christian nation come from?

Instead of having intelligent debates about politics, there are some who make it personal and like to hurl insults at the other side. I have seen many Republicans on here insulting Democrats just because of their political positions and not using facts to back up their claims. I have seen some Democrats insulting Republicans just because George Bush is a Republican and not using anything better than that to debate with Republicans. It is really sad.

I have not seen an intelligent debate on here for months. All I have seen in recent times are trolls on both sides, rantings, and some of the stupidest insults hurled at the other side.

I think this is what the party has morphed into.

You believe that government should stay out of people's lives but it needs to punish anyone caught having private sex with the "wrong" gender.

You believe that every failed foreign policy issue this country has had since January 22, 2001 (the day Bush was inaugurated) is the direct cause of the Clinton, Carter, Johnson, and Kennedy administration, whereas Reagan, Bush I and of course Bush II have played no part whatsoever in those failures and cannot be blamed in any way.

You believe in prayer in schools, as long as you pray to a Christan God.

You believe that a woman cannot be trusted with decisions about her own body, but that large multinational corporations can make decisions affecting all humanity with no regulation whatsoever.

You believe that pedophilia and alcoholism are evil, unless your a Republican congressman then they are "diseases" that need to be "cured" and the "victim" of the "disease" deserves prayers.

So what in the world is the BIG deal? How many times will we see the same questions asked over and over again and for how long? Do people NOT check to see if this has not been a topic that has been brought up 20 times in the past few hours alone? The option to check previously asked questions is available.

Will we be Karl Rove'd to death for several weeks? Is it really that much of a big deal? Your thoughts are appreciated.
