(Notice I stress "certain" Americans ie not all because I know you're not all like that)

Spout such high horse moralistic rubbish about Britain's past when their own country has been guilty of just as bad if not worse (witness what they did to the American Indians?)

Why does he say in his profile that he" values other countries and diversity" and then spout hate against a whole country? How can he generalise about all British people because of what the British government did on the past?

This astounds me. Its just reverse bigotry.

As for Ireland, why did Americans donate so much money to the "brave freedom fighting" IRA for so long and then when their own innocent civillians were slaughtered by terrorists because of the foreign policy, withdraw their support, declare "war on terror" and start blowing up half the world!

Why are we supporting you in Iraq???

I don't understand how Britain just told the jews that they could start a country where the Palestinians were living. The Palestinians had a government established and plus their was no fight for land.

Not to be funny, but did the western countries just draw a line on a map and tell the Palestinians to move or they were going to be forced out?

Don't people understand that freedom of religion doesn't mean banning religion from the public? When our Founding Fathers wrote the First Amendment, I don't they meant absence of all religion from the public. Having religious symbols in public places is not implying preference or imposition of one's beliefs on others. They're just symbols for crying out loud! It's completely innocent and harmless! No one is forcing anyone to believe in or conform to Christianity! I would have no problem with insignificant, little Islam symbols being displayed in public places because I understand the difference between freedom OF religion and freedom FROM religion! Doesn't anyone else understand that difference?

The U.S. has better cancer treatments says Canadian news reports.

Canadian cancer survivor: "There’s no question that going to the United States saved my life"
Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada - CCAC
http://www.ccac-accc.ca/news.php?id=53

"In Canada the average wait for procedures such as neurosurgery is more than four months; for cancer radiation treatment, over two months. The average wait for treatment after consulting a specialist for coronary bypass clocks in at up to 52 weeks, with four to 12 weeks for angioplasty. That’s the reality in our backlogged public health system, according to a recent survey by The Fraser Institute, a think tank based in Vancouver. In the United States, you can often be on an operating table within a week or two of referral to a surgeon."

Read the transcript of the AFL-CIO debate and you'll find that Democratic leaders squarely place responsibility for almost every calamity in America – whether caused by natural forces, human negligence or imperfection, or even excess government intermeddling in the first place – on the federal government or evil corporations. This is scary stuff.

Hillary Clinton exploited the Minneapolis bridge collapse to tell us we need the federal government to invest in infrastructure – "to protect us" and to "create jobs." How would she improve the recovery in New Orleans? Simple, "The first thing I would do is put somebody in charge who actually cared about the people of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast," as if Republicans don't care and as if caring is all that matters – vintage liberalism.

John Edwards agreed on Minneapolis and also seemed to blame the Utah mining accident on the federal government. To Edwards, these disasters are not only the fault of the federal government, but of insider, lobby-driven Beltway politics ignoring the needs of "working men and women." But Edwards outdid himself when he suggested that 51-year-old James Lowe's speech-impairing cleft palate is the fault of the federal government in failing to provide sufficient health care and the evil "drug companies and insurance companies."

Barack Obama complained that employers are exploiting "undocumented workers." That's right, he said the illegals aren't being paid enough or receiving enough benefits.

Joe Biden said the government ought to give us "100,000 new nurses." Oh, boy.

When the candidates were not promoting a paternalistic government or demonizing corporations, they were either telling tall tales about taxes and deficits or waxing recklessly about the Iraq War and the Global War on Terror (GWOT).

Do you respect them ?

Do You hate them ? And if you claim to not hate them , then please explain the left's hatred for ---

President Bush
Rush Limbaugh
Sean Hannity
Michael Savage ( a guy I sometimes agree with and other times vehemently disagree with , but hatred is always wrong)
Bill O'Reilly

Something for you liberals to also think about is that none of the aforementioned people ever tried legislating liberal talk shows off the airwaves or even attempted to force liberal talk shows to give equal time to conservatives . That would be 'shoving ideology down people's throats' now wouldn't it ? Think about that one for awhile .

I understand if you disagree with these folks, but remember , they disagree with you , and I will never understand your hatred for them .

...behind Canada in average life-expectancy? The USA is also 42nd (in life expectancy) world-wide, behind Japan, most of Europe, Jordan, Guam and the Cayman Islands, ...amongst others... and appears to be falling even further behind with the passage of time.

What does that say about the American health care system?

..."I am for socialism,
