Most of these men do not represent mainstream conservatives, but look at all the Liberal hate. Most say they do not hate, then start blasting. It's true that Conservatives are happier than Liberals. We tend to be optimists, but libs blame everyone else for life's inherent sadness.

There's more to this discussion than just "views", and a big part of the answer may be found in the remainder, which I shall call "personality".
The reasons I find Bush, O'Reilly, and Hannity insufferable isn't so much for their views, per se, but for the way they present them and discount those who may see the world another way. I find "liberals" with those personality traits every bit as insufferable.
When O'Reilly throws somebody off his show for insisting on a contrary opinion; when the President bars anyone wearing a Kerry T-shirt (or whose car bears the wrong bumper sticker) from his rally; the lose my respect as surely as those who bash the cops (ot troops) no matter what they do, or who engage in any of the Left's version of the same authoritarianism as the Conservatives you mention.
Authoritarianism knows no left and no right. An authoritarian personality seeks to follow, without much self-reflection, and in some cases to dominate. I find the trait distasteful, from whichever end of the political spectrum it comes.
I have no problem getting along with thoughtful conservatives (or liberals) who are articulate about why they believe what they believe, and who will consider others' viewpoints as well.

comparable to whilst somebody much less smart than me has an opposing view. If that view has some documents in the back of it, or some new piece of guidance i've got not before considered, then i'm going to amend my view. If it incredibly is empty rhetoric, i'm going to inwardly snort on the guy. i've got considered some in any different case especially intelligent human beings positioned forward some very damaging arguments, and a few fairly usual human beings positioned forward reliable factors.

be coy if you like ...; )
the President is one thing, he is scrutinized from all sides in a sense ... and when all is said and done (assuming he's not convicted of war crimes or something crazy like that) he deserves the respect of holding the office ... hopefully over time we can recover from the the damage he has done -- diplomatic, social, financial, military -- will take generations to correct ... luckily democracy is an amazing thing (well ... assuming America isn't to fat, lazy and happy to care)
which leads to the rest of these guys ... media
these guys are all part of the same machine ~ not effective whistleblowers
... it's hard to know what to believe
I just do my best to sift through it all ... i'm sure a little bit of part of it is at least partially true
the best retort i can come up with is, lets split up the Dem's and Republicans into several smaller parties ... get special interests money out of politics, so politicians can do something other than try to get re-elected
imagine humility ... and accountability
... and then these jerks can talk about dat ;P
(they all belong in different parties anyway ... Bush isn't the way i remember the GOP ... what happened to smaller govt~states rights?)
it makes allot more sense to me than sitting in a grand jury saying "I sorry, I can't recall exactly who, or when, or why"
... call me crazy)
nice question though ... made me think
the Media loves to push the buttons, i just hate the idea of people reacting to it like sheep ... either side

If they don't try to be an @ss about them and I have time that I can discuss this stuff, I'll talk to them about politics and whatnot and try and understand their POV even If I don't agree. I find that If I treat them and their views with respect, they do the same to mine.
However, if they're a closed minded fool like the trolls here, I tell them so. Typically they don't like that too much.
Honest and open debate is fun and refreshing. However, the individuals you listed are not interested in open and honest debate, but much more charicter assasination of htose who diaagree with them by twisitng and distorting like you just did saying that dems try and distort. Well, look a little higher up for the people who do that: try :
President Bush
Rush Limbaugh
Sean Hannity
Michael Savage
Bill O'Reilly
Bush- called the constitution a "G*dDamn*d Peice of paper". That about sums it up.
The rest: Agree with him and tend to be hypocrites. Remember Limbaugh's railing against illegal drugs while addicted to prescription medications? These guys are out to make a buck at the expense of the good names of others. I am much more endeared to the people NOT on TV but in everyday life who are willing to debate without character assassination.
But you don't seem to care.

Well, let's go for "serious answer" here:
In my job, I deal with the public, and with many people of different races, colors, religions, and political leanings.
Whether I am a "Liberal" or not, this is what I do when I talk to someone with views other than mine. (And, I put in this disclaimer because I AM a Liberal, but I am pro-life, and I'm a feminist.......it is not a one-size-fits-all label, as so many of the commentators you mentioned would like the citizens to think!):
I listen to their views. Oftentimes they are intelligent and well-thought-through. I will try to digest what they have said, and point out where I have differing opinions. I will think about what they have said, and if I find, through reasoning and research, that they are correct, I might change my view (Making me what? A flip-flopper? Oh, not if I change TO a conservative view??? Only if I change to a Liberal view???)
If you only deal with the people on Y!A, Politics category, you will run into a lot of hard-headed people---people who can sit behind a computer screen and say, with the utmost conviction, anything that pops into their heads. They are probably never quite as vitriolic in person as they are online---or they would have alienated half of their communities! So, I take most of what people say here with a grain of salt!
As for your list of "hated" individuals...I don't HATE anyone. But, I do not like to be lied to, or talked down to, or to have anyone try to scare me into giving up my rights as an American citizen. And I resent the heck out of these people who do it for a living! They KNOW they are way out on the rim, and they KNOW they are distorting the truth, and they continue to do it for their own gain, and to try to turn the country towards fear. I HATE that!!
And talk about "hatred"....Have you ever listened to the way they smear anyone who isn't in their "elite" group, have you heard how they insult people, and use every dirty trick in the book to denigrate their opposition?
Facts, sir, nothing but the facts---that would be a novelty in the political ring, wouldn't it? If we had them, most Americans would drop out of both parties and go looking for "an honest man/woman"!!!

Get rich quick schemes in the capitalist business world, such as buyouts, IPOs, conglomerates, acquisitions, mergers, and the stock market do not actually work.
Remaining solvent does not actually exist within false economics capitalism.
Pathological lying about profit existing in the capitalist business world, or millionaires existing within capitalism, is deception committed by the 21 organizations spying on the public with plain clothes agents, (with covert fake names, fake backgrounds, and fake property).
Actual economics involves the persons paying the monthly business loan payments of companies owning the companies, and voting at work in order to operate the companies they are paying for.
Capitalism is the psychology of imaginary parents, false economics, and criminal deception of employees that are paying the bills (including the stocks and bonds, or shares) of companies.
Anti-democracy republicanism is the psychology of imaginary parents, and false government.

I don't hate.
I feel sorry for all the well-intentioned misguided people who believe the lies of the right-wingers who got us into a lie-based unwinnable quagmire in Iraq and are running up a multi-trillion dollar deficit with no end in sight.
I don't like Republicans, politically speaking, because in terms of their political views they have contempt for the weak and have no regard for the planet and it's fragile environment. But that does not mean I hate them as individuals.

I react the same as I would to those who share my views.
I'm a therapist. It's my job to react fairly.
I also dislike TV politics, so I avoid the people you mention like the plague. It's sensationalism, if you ask me. I'd rather keep to myself, my family and my friends and enjoy the outdoors than listen to rich men whine about the people they don't care to understand.

I don't hate anyone - but I love to hear someone else's view points - especially if I disagree. You can learn so much.
I have a great tolerance for people who are strong in their beliefs and who respect other people's. However, if you're one of those people who thinks yelling, shoving your face into mine and spitting is going to sway me to your side, think again.
