I think it makes them a nice duo.
elizabeth isn't mean but she can snap-off if she needs to. edwards can be a bit too kind at times. he might be trying to be honorable and not trash others but focus on his good points (which most candidates do not do)
if he wins like some other first ladies she will not be passive but active in her role as first lady.

Not really... its a campaign tactic to use underlings (or wives or family members) to get down and dirty when the candidate stays above the fray.
Bush used the Swift Boats people to attack Kerrey... he used Cheney and Rove many times to do this. Edwards does not have anyone else (like a Rove or a Cheney) in his campaign to get the attention to publicly say these things... It is actually smart of him to use her in this way.

Quite interesting. Makes me wonder what is her motive. Perhaps facing her own mortality thru this battle with cancer has made her bold. This happens! I hope folks are really listening to her.

I think it makes the Breck Girl look weak and its beginning to make Elizabeth sound trite.
I'm beginning to get another take on this. Do you think perhaps the Breck Family thinks this nomination should've been handed to them? This is starting to sound too weird.

Let's just say we know who wears the pants in *that* family, and it sure ain't the "Breck Girl"! He's probably too busy getting his hair done!
BTW: Have you heard the Paul Shanklin parody song on The Rush Limbaugh Show, with John Edwards (voiced by Paul) singing the song, "I Am Woman"? It's pretty funny!

I pay more attention to the overwhelming weaknesses of the likes of Guliani and Mutton Romney.
Edwards doesn't have a chance anyway.

No, I don't think it makes him look weak. He's criticized the other candidates too. His wife's actions don't reflect on Edwards. She's her own woman.

She commented on something Anne colter said, and I thought that hurt his campaign, because before that I had never heard of her or her comments.
