with so little details - no - i could something happen and say kill upwards of 2000 people - or course -- but as far as any nation really doing enough damage to put the "country" in danger is just not going to happen in the near future. on the other hand i do think this country needs to get its act together compare to the rest of the world in certain areas such as

dependence on oil
education
export/imports
dollar exposure
etc

otherwise i can fore see a mexican produce be produce solely for the canada and the USA used as only a path to get it there. i guess as long as you own a truck spot along the route you would be ok. or china dumping all here excessive dollars on the open market -- things like this is where the "danger" lies.

As long as there are people who disagree with the American way of thinking, doing and living, the country will have the potential to be in danger.

I mean really, we were sitting here, minding our own business, and those weirdo's who follow a strict, radical, religious view just came over, learned to fly our airplanes, and sacrificed their lives to take some of ours...

Sad thing is that those people will never go away. They will sit idle, dormant, and build their numbers to sneak up and punch us in the back again and again...

Kind of like those who disagree with the war in Iraq. they can be dangerous too.

The church group that protests the funerals of our brave service members who gave their lives in this sad war are making the US a dangerous place to live.

The people who drive like idiots on the freeway are even endangering lives... Religious cults, sub-standard equipment, guns, drugs, poor pay for police and military people.. all these things endanger our country.

Good question.

I think the biggest danger our country faces is that we're starting to look at politics as if it were a big football game, in which "our side" is completely good (Rah!) and the other side is completely wrong (Boo!). Politics have real-life affects on almost all Americans, some more than others. And for any American to immediately dismiss HALF of their fellow citizens as idiots or traitors simply because they are Democrats OR Republicans does more harm against democracy than any terrorist could.

Yes, we are in a bad spot, and it seems to me we are working real hard to lay the foundations required to make it worse.
I have said before, that if I was making a movie, set in the future, about the destruction of America, I couldn't write a better background story then what is going on now.
Domestic spying claims were once the domain of only the paranoid.

Yes but not from outside but from inside. Our country is in danger from itself. COrrupt Politicians, the hatred the violence the trends we purposeley spit down on tradition, and people like me who listen to tradition or is actually nice people are looked down upon. Im a gentleman in the past it was normal now im like a 1 in a million guy. Our country is self destructive. Our politicians dont worry about showing wat they want to do as much as they try destroying each others jobs. And our goverment lies to us, hides stuff from us, and most importantly hurts us.
