Mr. G. W. Bush is coming to Eden Prairie Minnesota on August 21 for a fundraiser to support Minnesota Republican Senator Norm Coleman (who recently said, "We are going to be in Iraq a long time").

Will this hurt Coleman who has only a 7 point lead over Franken?

I know that most people say it is freedom of speech, but don't you think that flag burning is wrong?

....and sending us into debt that we will never be able to repay, and refusing to secure our borders, while he is sending more troops all over the world to "defend our freedom"? I could go on and on, but I won't. Why do you continue to support him while he destroys you and me?

I have never understood why everything the President signs is called an " act " for example the Military Commisions " Act " or the Farm Security and Rural Investment " Act " .

My question is , is the word " Act " just lingo or does it mean something , like the bill is " activated " ? I just found the word wierd .

I just answered a question that asked:

"Other than corporate greed, is there a reason we don't have universal health care coverage?"

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AifFbxw8KCuWab8U2SpLDPbsy6IX?qid=20070816220429AARLZj9&show=7#profile-info-YFlGfj6daa

Basically implying that because of corporate greed, people don't have health care. So, applying this principle on a more basic level... because I understand he is just asking for what would be considered a basic need for people in this country, not big screens or anything like that... just take care of the people.... should the government force grocery stores, restaurants, clothing stores, housing developers, electric companies and heating oil companies to give their products and service to the people at no charge? I consider these to be more essential to people than health care. Gosh, all I want is the basics for all people.

While there was certainly more that Bill Clinton could have done and should have done, the Republicans sure as hell weren't very supportive of the actions he did take.

Everytime Clinton tried to address the issue and threat of terrorism, the Republicans screamed "Wag the Dog." They said he was just trying to distract the public from the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

Did they want him to do anything about terrorism or not?

Has anyone noticede that Cindy Sheehan was once the sweetheart of the libs, and even Joan Baez, the great American freedom fighter, is nowhere on the horizon? Is her son of no importance to the libs? Did they forget he, or rather, his mother, was once the prime martyr? Speak up, libs. Tell us why you dropped her.

Not a bad dictatorship more like a good one if thats possible in the U.S. Do you think crime would be better controled? Do you think immigration and homeland security would be better secured? Do you think overpopulation would be controled limiting the amount of babies a women can have? Do you think health insurance and social security would get around to the millions of people who need it?
