I think it would be good for the country as a whole and my opinion has nothing to do with Iraq.

Think about those who have dropped out of school, are jobless, lead hopeless lives. Or think about others who are still young, but need direction.

What better way is there to help them along? They get paid, they serve their country, they learn a trade that can be used to their advantage once they're out. They learn responsibility, they learn to respect others, they receive financial incentive and support to better their education. They grow up!

Self respect and realizing that you CAN make something out of yourself, is what creates character.

Think of this as having nothing to do with Iraq, but merely a way of serving your country. What are your thoughts? Would this provide many opportunities for those who have no direction in life? Will it help curb our crime rate?

supposedly a friend of mine was saying that Bush is part of the secret group the Illuminati they are powerful people who control most the world and the wealth. They are close to the Devil and Bohemian Grove plus they are trying to take away are rights and make a ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT also called the new order. Rockefeller was part of the Illuminati and according to one of his QUOTES he said to the public he says that one day there will be a one world government and that he w attending secret meetings. **welfare recipients - buying their votes by keeping them oppressed and dependant
**Hollywood - PROMOTES immorality and deviance

Nothing good comes of this.

In my opinion, it's objective.
For example, I believe flying airplanes into buildings in the name of God is terrorism.
I also believe flying missles into buildings in the name of "shock and awe" is also terrorism.

I see it often stipulated by that side that people on my side (those in favor of gun regulations) are simply "anti-2nd Amendment." But since the Second Amendment does not preclude gun control laws, and since most crimes committed with guns are committed NOT by responsible, trained gun owners but by psychotic criminals who have no business owning dangerous weapons... what, exactly, is the opposition to things like background checks?

People seem to plug their ears and go, "Blaah Blaah Blaah I still don't like guns." Is there any real reason why someone would have a problem with a responsible individual carrying a gun? Who wouldn't want a trained law abiding citizen carrying some heat next to you on the street? Most concealed carriers are retired cops or soldiers. Would they really increase the crime rate? If my next door neighbor is in trouble, I can be to her house, with a gun in hand in 1 min. The cops take 10-20 min. People who are FOR gun control, seem to be the most ignorant about guns or crime statistics or anything to do with the topic. And if you try to educate someone, they do exactly like I said, "....I still don't like guns." No reason needed. I wish people would educate themselves, and stop spewing ignorance.
