I am a liberal on social issues because I don't believe in Christianity. I believe in scientific concensus. I believe that anyone who doesn't believe in evolution is either ignorant, stupid, or lying. I don't think gay marriage or abortion are particularly important issues and they waste all of our time. I don't make excuses for why the Iraq war is a failure just to save "conservative" face. I don't criticize people of higher education for being elitists just because they agree with the scientific concensus and think that global warming is man made like well over 90% of experts. I think that anyone opposing stem cell research using embryos is either a Christian or an idiot and likely both. I think that almost every attack on liberals I hear is a poorly reasoned straw man argument utilizing half-truths and logical fallacies which depend on the willing ignorance of the listener to believe. My beefs with stereotypical "liberals" are political correctness, the liberal fear of challenging people on their idiotic religious beliefs, their sheltering of insane Muslim beliefs, and those areas where they ignore science (such as the futile claim of gender equality).

On all other issues involving fiscal concerns I am more conservative, except for our healthcare system which is currently corrupt and immoral and must be changed yesterday.
