US must stop supporting Israel in order that peace will reign in the Middle East.

Your question makes no sense.
Nothing about Israel harms America. Israel is the USA's one true ally in the Middle East - both countries are fighting the same terrorists. Israel has been doing it a lot longer, and doing it on her own.
As to the utter drivel that appears in certain other answers to this 'question', I am shocked by the lack of factual knowledge they display.
The term 'Palestinian' originally referred to the Jews because they were the ones living there. Mark Twain, returning from a visit to Palestine in the 19th century, famously reported: 'Apart from the Jews living there, there is nothing but a few wandering Arab nomads'.
Jews have lived in that area for almost four thousand years continuously.
The 'Palestinian people' as we know them today did not emerge as a distinct entity until 1969 - some two decades AFTER Israel was reborn. They are comprised mostly of Arabs originally from Syria, Iraq and Lebanon, all of whom began moving to Palestine when they saw that the Jews were irrigating the land and transforming it from dessert into a viable, and beautiful, place to live in.
No land was EVER stolen from the Arabs. The British held the mandate for Palestine and it was Britain who suggested Partition; just over half the land to the Arabs, just under half to the Jewish refugees.
The Jews accepted unconditionally.
The Arab world rejected the plan outright - and declared war on the new Jewish state less than twelve hours after it was established. The neighbouring Arab states then simultaneously attacked the new country of Israel.
The land that Israel got while defending herself in this war, she kept - of course. Name me ONE country that has ever returned land obtained during a war started by its' enemy!!!

Your question doens't make sense. Our government suports Israel's cultural genocide because Israel destablizes the Middle East and a destablized Middle East is easier to manipulate than a stable Middle East. Also, Israel has the largest lobby in Washington. They lobby for money, for power, and threaten politicians with lost elecitons if they doln't go the Israeli way. Hollywood and New York produce tons of films about friendly Jewish people like it was a commn thing to do - but think about it. When was the last time you saw a movie, play or TV show about the friendly Catholic? Not since Bing Crosby when the Catholics were pumping Hollywood for all they were worth. How about a show about the friendly protistant? No. But there are these Jewish things all over the place. And Muslims are usually portrayed as sinister. Newsreel shots of them shooting guns and showing mass emotions. Dangerous swarthy people! But you will NEVER see a movie showing Jewish settlers beating young school kids tryhing to get to school - or Israeli soldiers not allowing the sick to get to hospital or Israeli bulldozers smashing down a farmer's house and beating the farmer and his wife while arresting his son for trying to protect his family. No - that is NOT ALLOWED on American TV or American film. We only are allowed stories of Jewish suffering as if only the Jews have suffered in this world.
It's all designed to excuse the Zionist takeover of all Palistine - which is their goal.
Our support of Israel with money, arms and blocking all UN sanctions of Israel is a major reason why we were attacked on 9/11. the people of the Middle East have lost their patience with the so-called "Peace Process" which is nothing more than a carrot and stick approach to taking more Palistinain land.
We could brign real Peace to the Middle East by forcing Israel to give Palistine half the land and resources in that area and supporting both sides EQUALLY. (What's wrong with equality?) Thatg would stop the suicide attacks, and allow the Palistinians to have their own nation, their own pride and economy. It would be a miracle because the Zionists are determined to have ALL Palistine for Israel and they will stop at nothing to get it. THey would kill you if they thought it would further their goal and that is the Truth.

Israel is America's greatest ally. Helping build "a greater Israel" does not cost the USA its survival; it allows the US a better chance to survive, particularly in the Middle East.
Israel and the US go hand-in-hand in fighting against world terrorism.

at the cost of their survival, no, definitely not with the selfish government we've got!!! if it doesn't give the u.s. money, then you can forget about it!!! the u.s. government cares about money that they get or ways they can get money, even if it means killing lots of innocent people to get that money, and that's about it!!! so, america, is not going to build a better israel, it's all talk!!!!

This will bring the war of the 'worlds' closer and closer. The Islamic world is sick and tired of America occupying Muslim land and stealing its wealth. They will bring their own distruction by attacking others and helping Israel to steal more Arab land.
