Some possibilities he might pursue ...

Working for the tobacco companies to convince people they are healthy for you.

Working for the NRA to get more handguns into our elementary schools "so kids can defend themselves".

Working to redevelop New Orleans by buying distressed property, then having government pay to rehabilitate the property, then cashing in on the huge windfall at the expense of the taxpayers.

Finding an unqualified candidate and grooming him for the White House (has experience in this area).

Arms merchant to insurgents in Iraq.

The people cut out of the cloth of Rove - decry big government, but has worked a lifetime on the public payroll - will end up employed at a "think tank," write a book with a ghostwriter and become a talking-head politico analyst on cable-TV.

He will work as a consultant for a neocon think tank (now there's an oxymoron for you). I don't think any campaign would hire him in the primary because it would be telegraphing your intention to sink to the lowest possible level. Fred Thompson won't be around for the general election, so that is out.

He won't have any trouble getting a job, no more than any other political figure. Who knows, he can retire, write books and live a good life. Better than a lot of us!

Virtually any corporation or political action committee that supports republican goals. He has little to worry about except any testimony he'll be compelled to give once his legal shielding is removed.
