Well liberalism is a cousin of communism. Communism assumes there is no God and that mankind is the supreme being and has ultimate authority.
Their rejection of Christianity can be seen in the liberal view on things like abortion, their views on homosexuality as well their general view towards the role of govt in our lives and their authority, the rejection of objective morality, so on and so forth. The Bible has more then enough to say into these topics yet they delight in taking the exact opposite views of God.
To many of secular liberals, religion is a threat in general to their authority. THEY want to be the ones people come for answers to, not God. They want to be the ones to rewrite this country into a secular society denying history and our very own forefather's words about this being a nation under God whom we owe our inalienable rights to.

Their definition of "tolerance" means that society and people need to accept their beliefs and lifestyle choices as mainstream. Well society has done that since the '60s and I'll tell ya, it's really hard to even contemplate marriage and raising kids in this world. Yes, one could argue that liberal tolerance is intolerance especially when they can honestly view the exploitation of sex as a moral practice then chastise religious individuals who believe in abstinence and protection of the sacrament of marriage; they want to protect reproductive rights yet slam people who exercise their 1st amendment rights of free speech when they speak out against abortion; you can't be against Obama because doing so is racist in the eyes of some. Those are just a few of the inconsistencies and intolerances of the liberal minded person. I think it's safe to say at this juncture that liberalism is a mental deficiency.

America has an American Heritage not a Christian Heritage exclusively.
But there are people who have no tolerance for Christianity. Here's proof for you.
"The wackos get their information through the Christian right, Christian radio, mail, the internet and telephone trees ... Simply put, we want to bring out the wackos to vote against something and make sure the rest of the public lets the whole thing slip past them."
- Michael Scanlon, former communications director for Rep. Tom DeLay, associate with Jack Abramoff, and Right Wing Lobbyist.

There is a much bigger Christian liberal contingency than you think. Because my pro-life beliefs includes the Iraqi people I am less of a Christian to you, because I believe what Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount and what the book of Acts says I am less of a Christian to you. Well so be it, I know how it all ends and we win.
I do not spend my time trying to push my beliefs on you, nor am I trying to convert anyone. I am just stating what I believe and why. I clearly believe in the separation of Church and state, otherwise we could have Iran with Christianity.

Some may.. just like Some Christians have no tolerance for non-Christians... but this is not an all inclusive blanket. I for one and a Democrat (and I'm sure most would call me fairly liberal) and I have no problem with whatever religion you choose to practice.. you or anyone else for that matter. Also.. many, many Democrats are Christian. We take all kinds in our party :)

How much acceptance should a child molester get . To cover up and relocate a molester when parents complain about it is just wrong .
SO if the church which people are to look up to is filled with people who accept child molesters and protect them .
Well what can you say about religion .
Seems not one church has ever come out when first told of a child molester in the ranks .
So I think that" If "the one institution you have faith in is no longer able to function due to its cover up of criminals it should be dissolved .

Their is a certain segment on the right that believes that the USA is inherently a Christian nation. Their is a certain segment on the left that believes the USA should be completely void of any religious affiliation. Then there is the middle which wishes both segments would just shut up. Does any of it really matter?

I do tolerate Christianity. I just don't like it. I am not out there trying to convert people to atheism though. If you never want to grow up and keep your imaginary friend when you get older thats fine. Why do people constantly missuse the word tolerate is the question? You don't have to like something to tolerate it?

...and why do Christians hate liberals? It's an equally valid question. But they're both misleading because they separate the two. IT IS POSSIBLE TO HAVE A PROGRESSIVE CHRISTIAN!! I am exhibit A: a progressive, democratic, Christian. Shock! Horror! Old News!

Why do the liberals that you claim hate Christianity act more like Christians than the " to hell with poor and elderly " money grubbing conservatives?
