I was told (and it's true) that we fought wars to eliminate slavery, communism and all that other hoopla.

So when (IF) this [Iraq] war is over, how will my life be better? How is it better now?

please spare me with insults such as "you will never understand", "this is a stupid question", "read a book", "I don't know what you are talking about". I have heard them all, and WILL report.

I saw this yesterday on MSNBC. The CIA knew two years ago that Bin Lidan and other keaders of Al Queda were meeting at a house about 9 miles into Pakistan, but failed to take action to take him out. When asked about it, Karl Rove stated: "We had concerns about attacking a sovereign country without the govt's consent". How laughable is that considering the fact that we attacked Iraq without provacation? It's time for Rove to go back to his job as a Walmart greeter.

I keep hearing that scientists in the 1970's predicted an ice age and now these same scientists are predicting global warming. Can anybody name one scientist that said this. The thing from 70's came from a newsweek article that actually misquoted a scientific journal. Scientists were not predicting an ice age, Newsweek did.

Conservative give credit to our 'fee market' for everything right with the economy. Liberals blaim everything wrong, on the 'free market'. The U.S. hasn't had a free market since before the 1920's. Every legit' enomomist will tell you we have a mixed economy. Somewhere close to socialist-like. Why don't people listen to the economists instead of politicians?

Please list the scientific organizations or the name of the scientists who believed the earth was flat.

=================

Fact is modern science (as in scientific method) didn't begin until the Age of Enlightenment with people like Copernicus, Galileo, Tycho, Kepler, and Newton. Nobody believed the Earth was flat back then. Even the fundies in the Catholic Church didn't believe this. They believed the universe revolved around the Sun. People figured out the earth was round since Greek times.

FYI: The Christopher Columbus controversy was not over whether the Earth was flat, but over how big it was. Google Columbus and flat earth to learn more.

That the military continues to exceed it's recruitment goals.

Americans in Iraq, who chose to be there using their own free will, will continue to kill all the terrorists while remaining safe and stablizing Iraq.

Congress will extend Bush's tax cuts for working people.

Ginsburg, who has already lost her mind, will retire giving Bush one more SCOTUS pick.

Full pardon for Scooter Libby.

Iran's nuke sites to be taken out

Israel to STEAMROLL over Gaza and the West Bank and to stay permanently.

Please God - Let Hillary be the DEM nominee!!!! Please.

Bush vetos any LIB spending bill

I meet a fine young conservative man with maximum earning potential who attends church.

lyrics by Buffy Sainte-Marie

Universal Soldier

He's five feet two and he's six feet four
He fights with missiles and with spears
He's all of 31 and he's only 17
He's been a soldier for a thousand years

He's a Catholic, a Hindu, an atheist, a Jain,
a Buddhist and a Baptist and a Jew
and he knows he shouldn't kill
and he knows he always will
kill you for me my friend and me for you

And he's fighting for Canada,
he's fighting for France,
he's fighting for the USA,
and he's fighting for the Russians
and he's fighting for Japan,
and he thinks we'll put an end to war this way

And he's fighting for Democracy
and fighting for the Reds
He says it's for the peace of all
He's the one who must decide
who's to live and who's to die
and he never sees the writing on the walls

But without him how would Hitler have
condemned him at Dachau
Without him Caesar would have stood alone
He's the one who gives his body
as a weapon to a war
and without him all this killing can't go on

Or, will Ohioans be treated like the Okies during the Great Depression.
Most of the US jobs exported overseas came from Ohio. The Ohio economy is dismal and not expected to improve anytime soon. It is expected that as much as 20% of the population of Ohio will leave the state for greener pastures.
Those people who remain in Ohio will strain the social programs. More federal tax money will be needed to support the growing welfare class in Ohio.
Is the rest of the country ready for the Ohio immigrants? Is the rest of the country ready to dig deeper into their pockets to support the new Ohio welfare state?
Good thing the rest of the country is saving money buying those cheap goods from China.

This is London, but, were we to elect a Socialist leader like Hillary or Obama, take a look at our future, they are already giving points benefits here in America at large corporations for employees that are healthier, so, now when you see a fat person, not only will judge them as useless slobs, but now you can also label them as a drain on the economy and your rising health premiums. And, oh btw, Hitler would be proud of London for their fat tax, it just screams of Social Darwinism, n'est pas?

man made global warming?

I don't see any logic in it. The only reason they come up with EXCUSES and CONSPIRACY THEORIES is because the scientific consensus is against them just like it is on evolution, stem cell research, in vitro-fertilization, birth control pills.

LIST OF THE TEN MOST WELL ESTABLISHED US EARTH SCIENCE SCIENTIFIC ORGANIZATIONS ON MADE MADE GLOBAL WARMING:

1) THE AMERICAN GEOPHYSICAL UNION, FOUNDED IN 1919, OVER 45,000 MEMBERS
"Human activities are increasingly altering the Earth's climate. These effects add to natural influences that have been present over Earth's history. Scientific evidence strongly indicates that natural influences cannot explain the rapid increase in global near-surface temperatures observed during the second half of the 20th century.

Why is it always editorials from a DIMINISHING handful of INDIVIDUAL SCIENTISTS from political and amatuer websites like CATO, Heritage, junkscience.com, and youtube.com?

And why do they have to come up with conspiracy theories all the time? Example: I come up with the ten most well established earth science scientific organizations and their official statements supporting man made global warming.

Con say: All these scientists are socialists who hate capitalism or capitalist who are just after the global warming money.

Can any conservative answer this challenge and give me a list of SCIENTIFIC ORGANIZATIONS against man made global warming, when they were founded, how many members they have, and their official statements?

Recently i was in a New York strip bar, when i thought it would be a good idea to throw peanuts at the lurvly ladies as they danced, but to more horror i noticed that the American chump sat next to me at the bar was eating them WITH HIS MOUTH OPEN.
I punched him and obviously he stopped, but have Americans no manners

Or does it mean there's an obligation on the part of every media outlet to tell "both sides" even when one side is factually correct?

Are we going to apply this to the New York Times? For example when they report that while politicians on the Left say the tax cuts were irresponsible, will they also have to report the fact is that tax REVENUE has gone UP at 4 times the rate of inflation?

Or do you prefer the Rush Limbaugh/ Sean Hannity scientific viewpoint?

The UCS is a group of highly distinguished scientists including many nobel laureates. Many have served as scientific advisors to past presidents both Democratic and Republican.

Excerpt; "The peer-reviewed report, "Confronting Climate Change in the U.S. Northeast," incorporates and builds on NECIA's 2006 study that described how the climate of the nine Northeast states will change under two scenarios: one that assumes an increase in global warming emissions from continued heavy reliance on fossil fuels, and another that assumes substantially lower emissions due to an increased reliance on clean energy sources. The report documents the projected consequences of each emissions path.

There is massive controversy over the term British Isles.

The Irish Government does not use the term.
Folens an educational book firm no longer uses the term on atlases and maps in Ireland.
UK media organisations, BBC, Guardian, Times are indecisive and confused about using the term.
Oxford University Press even uses the term British Isles and Ireland when describing the archipelago contradicting its Oxford English Dictionary definition of the British Isles.

Do people outside of Ireland realise how politically charged this term is and what are you thoughts, what would you call it if or would you continuing using the term even though it is highly politicised term?

Homeland Security's Chertoff has said that he has a 'gut feeling' that we may be hit by terrorists this summer . Now several less informed people have complained about this and I think we should stop and think . Chertoff is privy to much more information than any of us . And if there's much more 'chatter' and activity emanating from terrorists and their known means of communication like there was before prior terrorist attacks , then his 'feeling' is justified . Now some complain that if he does know something then he should say it and raise the alert level . Maybe , maybe not . He may not have details . Details of time , place , modus operandi , etc . So that puts him between a 'rock and a hard place' . Speak too soon and the left will call him a fear-monger . Speak too late and everyone will second-guess him , and the left will blame him and be rabid for blood .
If You Are Liberal , Democrat , Left-Wing , or Whatever , Would You Please Drop The Partisanship On This One Issue ??
