The similarities between LBJ and GWB are uncanny. Both got the US involved in an escalating, never ending war. Both created huge spending deficits. Both polarized the country.
Is there something about politicians from Texas?

If we do that, then we should not elect anyone from Taxachuessetts, either.

I lived in Texas about 9 years. And I escaped! LBJ got us into Vietnam, and he did continue that war in the name of controlling communism. There was a choice made and big business helped LBJ make up his mind. The chimp on the other hand, had a clear cut choice and promises made by the government of Iraq that they would meet certain
"benchmarks". As of this writing, they HAVE NOT made even one benchmark. Halliburton has also helped the chimp to continue the war in Iraq. There was no plan for the war, and if that plan didn't work, there was no contingency plan. The Iraqi people waiver in their support of a democtratic form of government. Those that are recruited for the police or Iraq military are waivering as well. One thing that is true about Texans, their political climate is blatantly corrupt. The people know it, but rarely do they elect an honest man/woman to public office. Their constitution hasn't been changed since 1869 - 1875. So should Texans be allowed to be president? There is no way to stop those who want to run for president from Texas. One thing for sure is the chimp DIDN'T grow up in Texas - he is a true New England blueblood. As for control - his daddy is pulling just as many strings as is his son!

LBJ wore the (D) label, but he was an (R) in hindsight, except for signing the civil rights act, which is what shifted the South to (R).

I think a better bet would be let Texas secede from the union.
Then the USA could be more democratic.

Actually, Ron Paul is from Texas and he is the only one that would uphold our constitution, withdraw our troops, and secure our borders. Two bad apples don't spoil the whole bunch.

Sounds good to me. And look what Georgie Porgie the 1st did with Ronald ReGUN . They caused the worst stock market crash and depression since the 1930's.

You must remember that Texas has nothing in common with the United States, except to share the same currency and language. And those are both disappearing fast.

Have you ever read that Eisenhower quote about Texas Billionaires? I can't find it, but it was almost prophetic.
