No other President in the history of our country has been nearly as stupid. Bush is the all time record holder for that. No other President has taken more vacation time off and no other President has only given two press conferences in 6 years or ran up more debt than the $9 trillion debt ran up by Bush and Republicans. BTW, Neo_Cons knew he was stupid when they voted for him twice.. They would vote for him again if they could. "Stupid is as stupid does",,, Tom Hanks said that.

Carter was less than 29%, I think Nixon was before he resigned, and I know Truman was the lowest with 22%. Before the WW2 we really didn't have approval rating polls, so we can only go back to the 30's or so.

Truman 22%. War time president. War is frustrating. We Americans are used to getting everything what we want 24/7 and we are not getting it with this war. Because it's on Bush's watch, hence the reason for his low ratings.

Harry S Truman holds the call of having the backside approval score ever at 22% in 1952. by the way, George W. Bush has the record for having the optimal approval score of any president. presently after the 911 assaults he held a ninety 3% approval score.

I think Truman got to 11 percent once, maybe it was another. Some president got to 11 percent.

You have to remember, just because someone doesn't approve it doesn't mean they disapprove....let me explain.

Let's use the war as an example. How many Americans are happy with the war? Some would answer they aren't happy because they don't like the way it is being run, they support going to war, they want to really kick butt and take names, others would disapprove because they don't like the reasons for going into it...people disapprove for different reasons.

Nixon's rating was in the low 20s when he left office. I believe Truman's was the lowest ever recorded, tho.

Carter was at these levels in '79, Nixon at about the same levels, so, Bush does have some company, and not an envious place to be in!
