But Oil companies, and defense sector are profiting billions of dollars. I have been thinking long about all the wars we have had since WW II, i wonder if Win or Lose, Number of casualties, destruction magnitude, etc. really matters? I hope i am wrong about this, it bothers me to imagine, that a war was started, so that Corps. profit and hire people and get the economy going? Sad but it is a possibility.
Best Regards.

Yes. It was exactly 6 years. And this past summer we bumped into each other for the first time. For the first month it seemed like that was it. We found each other. Life is good. We should have never broke up. I love you. Blah blah blah. Then I realized how much I hated him. Realized he didn't really mentally grow up in any way shape or form. realized he was an egotistical ahole who lacked insane amounts of depth. I told him it wouldn't work out about 2 minutes after the first (and last) time we had sex again. He was just way too lousy and I can't be having that along with his other faults. If he were good in bed I could have held out a little longer. We kept talking. We kept hanging out and going to bars together, but I got sick of hearing what a whore I am just because I didn't want him. Sick of hearing that I know nothing about people because I didn't think of him as a "Great Guitar God" like the rest of the town did. I could not be his "yes" woman. I hate him now. Yet we still talk on IM occasionally. Glutton for punishment.

Well, ya know, we could have kept Al Queda on the run and finished off the Taliban. But, it was more important to destroy Iraq's wmd's, which we're still looking for and to destroy the Al Queda cells in Iraq, which weren't there until early 2004. No one on the Right seemed to think it was a good idea to finish the war we had.
But, that's always been the tactics of the Politics of fear. Create a boogeyman. Ignore real solutions to the problem, like airport secuirty that isn't cosmetic, port security, etc. Do something counterproductive and then blame the failure on the people saying that it's not going to work.

The war on terror is just a joke. There are terrorists all over the world and they aren't even Muslims.
Trying to fight against terrorism is like trying to fight against all types of crimes. If we can't stop Americans from commiting murders and rapes then how on earth are we going to stop people from doing terrorism? Why wasn't a war on terrorism declared on April 16 in Oklahoma City then?
I have a good example about how political this war on terrorism is.
Excerpt from an article:
Mr. Levitas goes even further: "The government has a severe case of tunnel vision when it comes to domestic terrorism. I have no doubt whatsoever that had Krar and his compatriots been Arab-Americans or linked to some violent Islamic fundamentalist group, we would have heard from John Ashcroft himself."
The lesson in the Krar case is that we have to always be concerned about domestic terrorism. It would be a terrible mistake to believe that terrorism always comes from outside," says Mark Potok at the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery, Ala.
The fact is, the number of domestic terrorist acts in the past five years far outweighs the number of international acts, says Mark Pitcavage of the fact-finding department at the Anti-Defamation League. "We do have home-grown hate in the United States, people who are just as ill-disposed to the American government as any international terrorist group," he says.
Levitas estimates that there are approximately 25,000 right-wing extremist members and activists and some 250,000 sympathizers. The Southern Poverty Law Center counted 708 hate groups in 2002.

Oh and for an encore then Bush and his followers will just nuke the entire Middle East and tell people on t.v. that there will be peace in the world now, while a day later another school shooting happens in America.

As an encore, Bush will declare Martial Law and cancel the 2008 election so that he can become the dictastor that Jeff Gannon knows he is.

Gut feelings, and unnamed expert sources. This is intelligence? My question about these reports, if they know so much why do they do nothing? The more I read and hear, the more pissed off I become. I hear you, the rest of America hears you and soon the whole world will hear you. If you're not with us you're against us, bring it on, it's a global war on terror. My blood starts to boil just writing this crap, especially looking at the hole in NYC we call ground zero.

i'm sorry. you must be one of those that just will not let it go. after six years of lies, you still want to believe everything the government tells you. but don't you get it? it's all lies!
one way the government manipulates information is by redefining a situation. consider this, Abdul (not his real name) is a long time resident of Baghdad. five years ago Abdul was known as "an unfortunate Iraqi citizen living under the dictatorship of Saddam Hussein." then in 2003 the US State Dept began to identify Abdul as "an insurgent." then two months ago Abdul began to be referred to as "Al Qa'ida." Abdul wouldn't know this as he has done nothing to merit these changes. but in America a new threat is warned of, "increased Al Qa'ida activity in Iraq." they did this same sort of thing in my war in southeast asia. standard operating procedure. just have to understand the language of deceit.

How convenient, right when GW's numbers suck, and we are tired of the war in Iraq, Michael Chertof decides to make a statement like he did yesterday. I cannot believe ANYTHING they have to say on the issue anymore. Feed the fear to control the masses. Whatever AQ is cooking up, I don't see anyone in our government doing a thing to prevent it. We have wide open borders, we are selling off our economy, and spending our childrens future for fear of what "might be." My mother used to say "Consider the source." Words of wisdom to live by.

If Bush, in his youth had done more than just fly over Texas protecting cattle, he may have been able to function as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces today.

Had we stayed focused on them in Afghanistan instead of diverting our resources against a tin-pot dictator, UBL & AQ would be history and the troops would be home with their families by now.
