Then of course there is fairness. Liberals can not seem to talk for more than two minutes without the word fair popping up. Apparently Liberals really want everything to be fair. But their version of what is and is not fair seems to be a bit skewed to many people.

Certainly fairness in taxation amounts to soaking the taxpayer depending on how much they earn. Liberals oppose all tax codes, which would truly be fair. Flat taxes, where everyone pays the same rate? Liberals do not like those. Consumption taxes, where again everyone is taxed in a balanced fashion? Liberals dislike that system as well.

In fact, the only "fair" tax code to liberals appears to be one which punishes success, and takes way too much of Americans hard earned money and places it in the hands of government.

First all the entertainers will probably fly in on private jets. All the people attending will be driving there. There will be concessions like hamburgers and hotdogs. Lets not forget the processing of meat was found to be the worst cause of Global Warming according to the IECC. None of the lighting will be compact flourescent and the trash left behind will be bad.
But go Earth I guess.

"Dissent is the highest form of patriotism." - Thomas Jefferson.

So many Libs make this false attribution. Look at Henry's answer in this thread:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Atmd8xqJSShu4o_tzOzTzqrsy6IX?qid=20070706093119AAsgeiS&show=7#profile-info-3IaD8rO7aa

Trouble is, Jefferson never said it. Historians agree he never said it. Even the Jefferson historical web site says that Jefferson never said it:

http://www.monticello.org/library/reference/spurious.html

So, why to Y!A libs keep wrongly attributing the dissent quote to Jefferson?

Asian American, African-American, Jewish-American, This-American, That-American. Good grief why are these stupid labels necessary? And how are they supposed to bring us together when all they do is focus on our outer differences?

Liberals also oppose racism, sexism, thisism, thatism, and every ism ever known to man. Yet they fully support affirmative action, which awards people for being of a certain color, or gender, while penalizing members of other races or genders. Why is this?

If we need to abandon our rights for the sake of protecting our country, isn;t that saying democracy can't work in practice? If we rely on the electoral college, does that mean that one man one vote cannot work in every election? Do we really live in a democracy? Are we really free? Or are these just ideals?

Our "Founding Fathers" were dissenters. They wanted us to be able to speak our mind about our government. If I criticize the government or its current administration it doesnt mean that I hate my country or the citizens. Arent people tired of being called "commies" or "unpatriotic" because we dont blindly follow an administration that is driving our country into the Sh**ter?

I hear all this sheep saying that Bush lied. What did he lie about? Our intelligence and every other one in the world thought he had WMD. We know he had them at one point because we gave them to him and he killed 180K of his own people with one plane. England and others still stand by the information of Saddam looking for yellow cake in Africa. So what did he lie about? Stop this brainwashing and re-writing of history.

Isn't it great that we canjust shift blame around, have no accountability, and sink further as a country? ISn't that what we blame the politicians for? Mayeb WE THE PEOPLE could set an example for politicians, by doing something to improve our country...donate time or money to Habitat for Humanity, write letters to politicians and judges when we disagree with decisions, not vote along party lines, etc...so, are you willing to do your part? Or are you happy complaining about people doing the same exact things you do...?

For many years I have heard feminist members say that they wanted to fight for equality for women. However at times I believe their only goal is to fight against inequality against women. I have never heard them fight against issues in which men are discriminated such as divorce, child custody, and the criminal justice system.

Thompson rented a 1990 Red Ford Pick-up truck to drive through the small rural county Sevier, TN to campaign.

"Here is Michelle Cottle describing a Thompson campaign event a couple of years later when he was running for reelection:

Seated in the audience is a childhood friend of mine....My friend stands talking with her colleagues as the senator is driven away by a blond, all-American staffer. A few minutes later, my friend gets into her car to head home. As she pulls up to the stop sign at the parking lot exit, rolling up to the intersection is Senator Thompson, now behind the wheel of a sweet silver luxury sedan. He gives my friend a slight nod as he drives past. Turning onto the main road, my friend passes the school's small, side parking area. Lo and behold: There sits the abandoned red pickup, along with the all-American staffer.
Basically, he just drove the thing the final few hundred feet before each campaign event, and then ditched it for something nicer"
