Because he got greedy.
He could only brainwash Germany and the nearby surrounding countries into believing what he was doing was 'right' (hence why alot of former nazis had no moral issues or shame and disgust over what they did)
There are LOADS of reasons why the nutcase that was hitler did not succeed, and I could write a million word essay on it but my coffee will get cold, so I'll save it for another time.
You will never take over the world cos you are too short, ugly and your breath stinks!!!

Do you want fast acting or Time release. I have ideas for each. The fast acting requires small tactical nukes to be placed at all, and I mean ALL (that's the tricky part is to find all of them), command nodes of military and political importance and have themm all go off at once to effectively decapitate all governments and their military powers at once. Then walk in amidst the chaos and begin scooping up the pieces. The logistics are a nightmare, butI didn't say that it was going to be easy. But I'm pretty sure it would work.
Hitler failed because he ended up fighting a war on 2 fronts at the same time. He couldn't quite chew through Europe quickly enough to give him time to fully focus his forces on the Eastern Front against Russia. Also Japan didn't help any by driying America into a rage by bombing Pearl Harbor which caused Hitler's enemies to gain a tremendous increase in military might due to our alliance with them.

First, you need to find the world in which you would like to rule. This one is out of the question because I am in the process of ruling it myself. Next, Hitler failed because he was a fool and misguided by his judgement of the west.
