Most definitely, unfortunately.

But here is a test
1. Are you a Christian?
2. Have you read Matthew 5 through 7 (Sermon on the Mount)
3. Do you understand it, believe it and do your best to live by it?

If the answer to these three questions is yes, then how can you not be a bleeding heart liberal?

Edit - For Ruth. This question was not about the constitution. In fact it was not even a question. It was a snide comment against liberals. So my answer was to point out, having a "bleeding heart" is a good Christian thing. Being a liberal politically is a legitimate way to put ones bleeding heart into action.

What do you mean by a "bleeding heart liberal" ?

Do you mean someone like the Abolitionists that hated and despised slavery so much that they decided to end it unlike conservatives who of course did everything including waging a Civil War to keep it going.

Do you mean those terrible liberals who after the infamous New York Triangle Shirt Factory Fire in which hundreds of humans were killed (because there were work place laws/regulations protecting workers from the their being slaughtered in the conservative Robber Baron mines and factories) began demaning and getting laws and regulations that ended the slaughter .

Do you mean those bleeding heart liberals who in the 30s proposed and fought for Social Insurance against fierce conservative opposition or are you talking about those terrible bleeding heart liberals who fought the barbaric conservatives to get MEDICARE passed to give health care to thec poor and needy.

Or are you talking about all those liberals who fought and died to enforce the Bill of Rights by getting the Civil Rights Act passed that ended the filthy conservative Jim Crow laws that kept slavery alive and well long after the Civil War .

OR ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT A HUNDRED OTHER "BLEEDING HEART LIBERAL "GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS THAT CONSERVATIVES ARE ALWAYS FIRST IN LINE TO SUCK AT THE GOVERNMENT NIPPLE OF ????

Speak up grasshopper.

Is there anyone out there who is not the playfool of the wealthy?
Who do not need good-paying jobs. Who do not need non-deniable health insurrance. Who have never had to work for a living.
Who is telling you that only conservatives are hard-working, responsible people.

When a community turns out to search for a missing or kidnapped child, do you consider them "bleeding hearts"?
Do you tell the parents to go find their own (probably dead) child? Is that who you are?

I am a Conservative with a bleeding heart.

I hurt that our children are being fed nothing but lies and hopelessness.

I want everyone to experience what I have. The freedom of making it. Getting an education and taking care of myself. That is freedom.

ADDED (for the moralist): The Sermon on the Mount is not the governing document in this nation. The US Constitution is. And Christianity is freedom of religion. You are free to practice it, and free to interpret Jesus' words as you see fit. You might look at ALL of His words, though. You are really missing His point. He never told Christians to fight oppression, as indicated by His own crucifixion. Our US Constitution gives us that right.

I'm not...now that I've been reformed! Voted for Clinted in 1992 when I was 18...then I actually started listening to both sides of arguments and found that I agreed with the "right" side. Conserv argue with facts, liberals argue with..whatever they can make up.

Yes for sure, me, I support the principles of Che Guevara and extrapolate the concept voiced by Hugo Chavez that I can smell the sulfur when very well-used toilet paper like you are in the vicinity. Go genuflect to Limbaugh, idiot, my karma ran over your dogma
