They have said they will eliminate the tax breaks for "Big Oil". Do they think the oil companies will just eat the added expense? They will pass it on to the consumer. And Jim Oberstar (D-MN) will head the transportation committee, and he has said he will raise gas taxes to pay for projects. And I thought the Democrats were all about not raising taxes for the middle class?

I am sick to death of people slagging off the USA THEY ARE POWERFUL THANK GOD there power has twice stopped Europe from dictatorship and for 60yrs there powerful position has deterred the Red Army from moving out of the iron curtain.

Is it not too harsh to hand his party this defeat, when he had sincerely tried to protect the Americans from their enemies? You cannot expect an outright success in an effort of this magnitude and complexity. The enemies of America are now crowing over the defeat of Bush as if it is their victory. Does it not send a wrong signal to them? How does Bush take it? Is he hurt or taking it in his stride?

A guy on Yahoo Answers posted this :"the bible says queers shall be stoned, and by leading others into homosexual behavior is considered one of the worst sins of all."

And one more thing he said: "murder is also a high priority crime and homosexuality should be placed in the same category."

So my question is why aren't they doing something about homosexual "impurity" if it's in the same category as murder?
