How would he handle the war on terror? After all Muslims can say whatever they like but the British public can't speak the truth.

Has the British people heard about the new change of law he is proposing to prevent people from saying that they are frightened of Muslim extremists?

Gordon Brown will not be in number 10 for that long; the farcical way that the handover from Blair to Brown is handled will make it appear to be a coronation, and not a fair contest.

Although I think Brown is intellectually up to the job, I reckon he's blown his chances, because his method of getting the top job makes him look untrustworthy.

I know that David Cameron seems lightweight, but he's got a good chance in the next general election, because people just want a change.

If I were Gordon Brown - thank goodness I'm not - I wouldn't want the job.
Fancy trying to clear up the mess Blair will leave.

He has two things going for him: the economy & the Conservatives. For the most part he is seen as a successful Chancellor & there is still a degree of distrust in the Conservatives. Not sure how much longer that will be enough, though...

If blair steps down is there another general election? if not there should be because the voters voted for blair as prime minister not that fat ugly tw@t
