You cannot expect an outright success in an effort of this magnitude and complexity. The enemies of America are now crowing over the defeat of Bush as if it is their victory. Does it not send a wrong signal to them? How does Bush take it? Is he hurt or taking it in his stride?

3) They allowed Iraq, after the downfall of Saddam, to turn into a prolonged war that turned Iraq into the biggest (a) recruiting tool, and (b) training ground for new terrorists.
