I hate it. There needs to be a strict separation between church and state. I'm an agnostic and don't feel the need to abide by rules set forth by one group of people telling another group of people how to live their lives.

Well heres what happend. During the 2004 election Karl Rove aka "the brain or "the spin doctor" knew that the elections were going to be close. So what he did was convince Bush to reach out to the Evangelicals and Ultra-Conservative releigous fanatics out there by making them think he was some kind of Bible thumping statesman. They used issues like abortion, stem cell research, and gay marriage to get thier vote. And the truth of the matter is the farther Bush goes along in his presidency the more centrist he becomes. Its the old Politician song and dance they say one thing but when they get into office they do another. And its really funny cause now secretly Rove calls those people "the nuts" and "the crazies"

Bush acts just like a dry drunk, if he is sober at all, as far as the Faith Based agenda it was to promote the Republican party members solely, and has nothing to do with God. The whole thing is just a play on language to get the sheep to take notice while your being lead astray. The American people that have real faith see right through this ploy, and voted Democrat as punishment Nov 7th as a majority. God is still in control you know...

I question anything and everything bush does,as far as religion goes does it count if he is just using religion as a shield to hide some of the things he's doing? For that reason religion should not be in politics.I believe he only mentioned he is religious to gain the vote of Christians!

President Bush doesn't make us worship the way he does. He doesn't force us to go to his church, or turn away from ours. Just because you are President doesn't mean you can't say that your christen etc.

From the looks of it, it's prone to corruption since no one seems to want to oversee whether the funds are being used in accordance with the law. I don't like it. I don't mind my tax dollars going to help those truely in need but we all know what happens when no one is looking...

so agnostics and atheists complain about having religion out in the open. because of them we cant say MERYY XMAS... we have to say HAPPY HOLIDAYS. so basically... the first ammendment states that americans have FREEDOM OF RELIGION. Bush isnt forcing anyone to convert to chrstianity... so he can have freedom of his religion.. and i can have mine. that is what the basis of America is built on.
