"The biggest handout was a prescription-drug entitlement for the elderly, known as Medicare Part D, which passed by a handful of votes in 2003. It addressed a real problem: some 22% of the elderly lacked drug coverage. But it did so in the costliest way imaginable. It is not means-tested, so old people who previously paid for their own drug coverage have an incentive to mooch off the taxpayer instead. It will cost an estimated $1.2 trillion over the first ten years—making it the biggest expansion of the welfare state since Mr Bush was dancing the Alligator at Yale."

"This was less than two months after the passage of the lardiest highway bill of all time, including a $223m bridge connecting the Alaskan town of Ketchikan to an island with a population of 50."

Al Queda announced today that it was pleased Republicans lost the midterm elections. You might think they are blowing off steam, but consider the timing of this message. If Al-Queda had simply wanted to get attention, they would have announced their feelings on November 6th. But that would help the Republicans in the election. Clearly, Al-Queda is trying to repeat the incident in Spain.

First of all, does anyone agree with me that everyone in this world is a sinner. So what makes gays much worse than murderers, rapists, adulterers, terrorists in other people's minds?

Do gay people really hurt anyone like murderers do? Or are they just trying to live their lives?

Like I said, everyone is a sinner, so where do you draw the line of which sins are more accepted?

Why, when I think of the BNP, do I imagine a group of crude un-educated working class men drinking pints, having fights, hating non-whites, watching football and looking down womens tops?

Or is there more to the BNP than just the above?

The Specter-Cheney compromise would allow NSA warrantless surveillance on Americans both domestically and overseas. The compromise includes an immunity provision sought by the telecom industry for both private sector and government employees, who may have already provided private information without the proper warrants or national security letters.

The American people have a right to know the extent of these violations. If retroactive immunity is provided, we the people will lose all leverage to encourage testimony that sheds light on what happened.

What do you think should be done? Remember the 4th Amendment?

step 1... declare war on america
step 2 ... simply defeat america without any problem due to their consistent run of war defeats and blunders.
step 3 ... send john major to run the USA for comedy purposes
result ... no more stupid wars declared by yanks and fought by britain.

good idea or back to the drawing board ?
