Al Queda announced today that it was pleased Republicans lost the midterm elections. You might think they are blowing off steam, but consider the timing of this message. If Al-Queda had simply wanted to get attention, they would have announced their feelings on November 6th. But that would help the Republicans in the election. Clearly, Al-Queda is trying to repeat the incident in Spain.

It should not surprise you that Al Qaeda plays politics.

Just remember, they attacked the US during a Republican administration with the expressed purposed of starting a holy war. They succeeded, though I imagine they were a bit gleefully surprised that the main US effort went into Iraq. Nonetheless, it should give you some clue as to the dangers of allowing them to manipulate your fears.

You're letting them turn you against your own people. Plainly you aren't a Democrat, but you are an American. You're essentially doing Al Qaeda's work for them when you labor to create strife between Americans over one of their broadcasts. They are baiting us, you understand? And apparently succeeding.

No doubt, they'll attack us again. And, no doubt, if they can lull us into a false sense of security and get us to drop our guard, they'll try to do so. But, I voted Democrat, and I'm not buying. I don't believe the people I voted for are either.

Because Al Qaida is stupid. They don't know the difference from long term goals and short term goals. Their short term goal is to get the US out of Iraq and take control. They feel the Democrats are more likely to do this.

Their long term goal is to change the US and make us a less free country. They ultimately want freedom do subside in the US. And since democrats are against legislation that restricts freedom (like the Patriot Act), they are ultimately the worst thing for Al Qaida's long term goals.

sad to say but no one has done more for Osama's terrorist cause than GW et al. when GW invaded Iraq on false pretenses Osama must have danced a gleeful jig. even GW's own intelligence agencies say that the war on and occupation of Iraq has made America less safe. GW's war of choice on Iraqi people is a perfect terrorist recruiting tool.

PS. ever occur to you that maybe Al Queda wants to foment mistrust and further divisiveness among the American population? keep up the good work, you terrorist tool!

Okay, what kind of arguement is this? I could easily say that Republicans can't be patriotic because the Minutemen endorse them. Hate to break it to you, but if you judge your own stance on whether or not someone you like or don't like agrees or disagrees with what you think, then you're a serious shame and as fake and malleable as gallium in a man's hands.

How does Al-Qaeda have anything to do with Democrats' patriotism? If I were a terrorist and said that you were a good guy, would that mean you're not a patriot? No, it would simply mean that you got an endorsement that you didn't particularly want.

al queda can endorse whomever they want. they are a extremist terroristic group. their actions speak louder than words.

however, what does their "endorsement" have to do with anything the dmoecrats do. They do not condone anything the al queda has done. so the AQ endorsement of them means nothing.

I've heard there have been some in that group who have endorsed the Dumbya "stay the course" plan for Iraq, but for the motive that the US military becomes weaker and weaker as the years go by, (and THAT is succeeding!), much as the Soviet Union experienced in Afganistan. Down with Dictator Dumbya!!!

Because they know stupid people like you will listen to them. Lets face it, Dems and republicans hate Al Queda.I just feel sorry for the 150,000 dead civilians in Iraq who perished because we had the wrong plan to begin a war with.
