Because she accomplished her goal and that was is to humiliate him and sew dissension in his ten-year in office and she is not the only one! Pelosi is a card carrying member of the socialist party and a full fledged liberal she makes about as much sense as a bunch of hammers in a wet paper bag and has the i.q. of bean dip!

Why didn't Bush say those those terrible things that he has said about democrats to her face yesterday?

I'm thinking that the answer to both questions is the same reason why neither one spoke up yesterday.

President Bush was asked how he can work with her after all the bad things she said about him and he explained that he knows how campaigns work and that after them you HAVE to put all the bad stuff behind you and get down to work.
Look at all the bad stuff WE say to each other on here -- If we met, would WE be as mean?

Her stance is that the Democratic Party is going to do the job that needs to be done now that they are in control and not worry about getting into a pissing contest with Bush. She's said he's incompetent in the past and as few people are disagreeing, why keep bringing it up?

In politics it becomes water under the bridge following the elections.

Besides they really need to work together.

Bush doesn't want them to muck up his economy, it is his legacy.

The Dems need to pass designer legislation paying back their donors, and the president can wield the VETO pen to block it.
