Over £20,000 of public money spent taking a seven person entourage and he returns empty handed. Was this just an excuse to build personal bridges using public money?

Do you think with (possibly) a more liberal perspective on stem cell research, that Democrats will help gain approval for government funding of this type of research?

Did you guys realize that the country you live in is not as hate filled as you morons are? Or that your role model Hannity regardless of his Anti-American sentiment was completely wrong and has no influence like his buddy Limbaugh or O'Reilly or Bortz? Hopefully all of you learned what its like to live in a democracy. Enjoy your day.

Recently, all 4 leading military papers called for Rumsfeld to resign or be fired. The Democrat majority won't be in until January yet they have already done so much more for our troops than the Republicans have done in the last six years - getting rid of Rumsfeld. It's obvious that if the Republicans kept the majority that he wouldn't have resigned, Bush even said that Rumsfeld wasn't going anywhere just a few weeks ago. If this is what the Democrats can do before they are even in office, imagine what they will do when they get there! How about properly armored vehicles for our military?!

All of this mamby-pamby nonsense that these extremely polarized sides are going to all of a sudden "work together in a bipartisan manner" is a bunch a hopeful thinking hogwash from the Reichwing.

And it is NOT what the voters intended when they shoved out the Republicans. We want ACCOUNTABILITY and OVERSIGHT over a President RUN AMOK.

These bastards have called us cut and run cowards and terrorist appeasers over the past six years even as they have whittled away and trashed the honor and legitimacy of our democracy.

There is no middle ground.

If Republicans held onto power they would not be talking about "bipartisanship" or finding the "common ground". They would have been proclaiming their mandate was validated and they would have instantly begun to try to eradicate Social Security and pursue other items of their radical agenda.

would like to Congratulate the members of the Democrat community here at Yahoo answers. Your candidates did a fine job.

I am not going to pretend that I am happy about the election results.

I hope that the more Conservative Democrats keep people like Nancy Pelosi in line.

I hope that the Democrats realize the importance of funding a strong military.

I hope that we don't turn into a Socialistic Society.

Please hold YOUR Representatives to task to insuring the Security of our Country...

Congrats....

"Big oil companies a target in new Congress" -certainly not music to my ears. For those of you that voted democrats (or should I say economically illiterate)... what do you think will happen when the dems trash the tax breaks given to "big oil"? Don't you think the consumers (US!) are going to be paying for them in the long run?
When the gas prices are sky high and breaking records I don't want to hear you crying, we told you so... Thanks. Good move.
