Why do Americans GET SATISFIED when an official resigns, IS THAT ENOUGH?. I don't think so. It is for people like Donald Rumsfeld to FACE JUSTICE, and face the justice he DENIED FOR THE THOUSANDS of our MILITARY MEN/WOMEN in Iraq and Afghanistan. If it WAS NOT Rumsfeld's mistake to equip our military better, such as body armor earlier, and have enough troops on the ground we may could've been a different place today. It is time for Rumsfeld to FACE THE JUSTICE HE DENIED OUR MILITARY MEN/WOMEN.

Donald Rumsfeld is a self-sacrificing, public servant who has given up his interests, time with his family, a good night's sleep for the well being and safety of the United States of America. He neither jumped nor was pushed. We know that the caliber of the man would never jump. We know that the caliber of the man who hired him did not push. I personally would like to thank Donald Rumsfeld for his service.

Pushed. The man has such an amazingly huge ego, he never would have left on his own. People think that he resigned of his own free will, but he was asked to step down by Dubya. Cheney wanted him to stay - a bit of a rift there, I think.

Rumsfeld was forced into resignation because of the Republican disaster in the recent election. The President and his partymates could no longer defend his errors.

Pushed. Cabinet members work at the pleasure of the president.
Transition teams quit after elections.

they probably pushed him out to make it look like he was to blame but I am sure he didn't mind getting off a sinking ship though not of my party I thank him for his service and wish him well sad he now gets all the blame for Iraq when if we weren't there in the 1st place nothing else could have happened

He was either fired (pushed) or he cut-and-ran. Either way it looks bad for the Bush regime.
