Over £20,000 of public money spent taking a seven person entourage and he returns empty handed. Was this just an excuse to build personal bridges using public money?

Just another junket by a politician, but this time a more feeble excuse has been given for it. He should be made to pay for it out of his own pocket and then he would not be so quick to spend our money, goodness knows he gets enough money as it is. He is so thick skinned that the criticism will be like water off a ducks back.

Yes, by the electors of London. However, the cost of the trip to Venezuela (and was it really a bad thing?) is trivial by comparison with the financial implications of other issues such as the 2012 Olympic Games and needs to provide London with an efficient and affordable transport system. Frankly, I think Venezuela will have been long forgotten by the time of the next mayoral election in London.

of course he should.
but to be honest i think he's paying in embarresment at the moment. noone's gonna let that go for awhile!
lol
but i think that he should be pulled up on his lack of research-organisation.
i don't believe it was entirley his fault, but it became a pr shambles.

Yes he should. Why is he so special, all he wants is a free holiday, paid by the rates payer

He should, but after that incident with the reporter i don't he will.
if he held accountable no doubt he will worm he why out of it.
