would like to Congratulate the members of the Democrat community here at Yahoo answers. Your candidates did a fine job.

I am not going to pretend that I am happy about the election results.

I hope that the more Conservative Democrats keep people like Nancy Pelosi in line.

I hope that the Democrats realize the importance of funding a strong military.

I hope that we don't turn into a Socialistic Society.

Please hold YOUR Representatives to task to insuring the Security of our Country...

Congrats....

I commend you for your feelings and wish every one felt the same. We MUST be UNITED is these United States. I have been around for a while. For 71 years to be exact. It would scare the hell out of you if you could see what is becoming of our nation through my eyes. I have never missed my chance to vote. It's okay to be liberal or conservitive but the least our people could do is to be a little discrete. It looks to me as if nothing these days goes on behind closed doors. What in the world are we thinking?

i think of the final public of Wallaby followers can admit defeat because of the fact the defeat replaced into justified. The All Blacks deserved their win and that i'm hoping they flow directly to win the best against the froggies. The eire recreation replaced right into a distinctive state of affairs, with the scrum penalised a number of situations the place it is going to no longer have been, The Irish have been able to construct up momentum and hence a lead. it somewhat is genuine the Irish deserved that win too, yet there replaced into that little flicker of doubt, what would have been had the Wallabies had some calls flow their way. This AB recreation did no longer have that doubt, they held absolute ascendancy, and so have been the undisputed winners. stable success next week NZ.

Graciousness is a virtue.

I was one who voted for change.

I hold dear to my heart that this nation is a democratic republic. I fret that too many have forgotten.

This is a Republic governed by law. The basis of the law is our Constitution-the greatest document ever created by man-kind.

The law and the Constitution has been quietly ignored for some time. The voices of Our Founding Fathers have been drowned out by politicians and pundits whose clamor only benefits special interest groups. These groups include extremists of all stripes.

I don't claim to be proud to be an American. For me, it feels like sheer luck.

God Bless America!

It is nice that you were polite, but please post something in a few months when you see civility restored, government backing away from violating our Constitutional protections, the military being supplied with adequate armor and veterans care being fully funded. Please remember that under Clinton, you got NAFTA and you got media deregulation, both of which are problematic and with which I as a democrat disagree. We will call our own party to task if they try to take advantage of someone like Terry Schiavo to make a political point or if they deliberately use a tactic like writing unconstitutional abortion legislation to create a controversy and mobilize voters.

When the Republicans took over in 1994 they had a chance to prove themselves more responsible and honest but they blew it. Hope the dems do better and thanks for your good thoughts.

Gracious? NO .... sad yes.. Sad that over 4,000 abortions will continue to be peformed in the US. everyday... sad. that the terrorists have won...not americans yes the terrorists... EVIL has won.. but I take comfort in the fact that Good will prevail in the end... and that I voted for morality and I can sleep at night with my decision.. we survived 8 long dark years of Slick Willie, so we can survive this too. Gracious though, no not at all,,, sick and wondering what these immoral dems will do next.

After the last disaterous 6 years of republican rule and support (from people of your political leanings), you are in no position to posit any suggestions, highly biased as they are... Instead of 'Congrats'....all of you bush supporters would do best to just do the right thing and apologize for your foolishness, short-sightedness and arrogance these past six years.

P.S. the last thing bush and this country need is for NANCY PELOSI to keep in line, are we to continue tip-toeing around bush? play nice? Get Real! A fire needs to be lit under bushs' A-S-S!

Nicely said.

In answer to your hopes:

Yes, the Democrats will rebuild the damage done to our military and its equipment in the futile Iraq war, as soon as we get them home.

No, I don't believe having the medicare system bargain with the large Pharmacutical companies for better prescription drug prices is socialistic.

One obivious security problem is illegal immigration. Heavily fining anyone hiring illegals would go a long way in stopping this problem.......sort of tongue in cheek--Why don't we immediately draft any illegal immigrant male or female, between 17 and 30 into special divisions of our Army and Marines and if they survive 8 years they become citizens.

Yep.. they won fair and square. Notice how we don't whine about about hanging chads, long lines or polling station mischief when we lose. It will be interesting to watch Nancy Pelosi trying to keep her Howard Dean and Michael Moore nut cases under control for the next two years so they don't freak out normal americans for 2008.

I would like to add that I hope Democrats take a hard line against illegal immigration.

Agreed. Thank you for taking the moral high road. It's better than what others did for the last six years, eh?
